I bought the super deluxe edition, I also have EA access, but I never started the trial through EA access, I started the regular game, played around 3 hours and I have not been notified of my time left. I think since I bought the game already I can play the game up until the story gate. I can also play multiplayer unlimited

For some reason, I have unlocked the nomad skins but the other things (pathfinder casual outfit and pyjack) are not showing up.

I unlocked two nomad skins from my quarters.. but I havent tried them because I dont actually remember what the skins are supposed to look like. I think its deluxe edition stuff, not pre-order stuff. they're two different things I dont even know what i'm looking for though so I could be wrong. |

You are probably right, I just wish there was more clarifcation on these things...it seems silly to not allow deluxe items in the trial if you have preordered, especially as progress carries over. This trial makes those items relatively pointless. |

Xbox still considers those items 'pre-ordered' rather than owned so they're unavailable for now. Possibly in case people cancel their pre-order between now and release? Who knows. Oddly enough, I found that you can open the first weekly super deluxe edition multiplayer box, but the pyjak, outfit, skins etc aren't in single player yet. |

I don't have my pre-order items showing up (I'm on XB1). The devs are saying there are two different trials. One for normal edition and one for deluxe and we need to re-download the deluxe trial in order to get the items. I can't verify that until later tonight though.
