Dear Bioware/dear Ian, I think that most of us on forum would like to know your/Bioware option about Modding of MEA. Do you support or at least don't prevent/ban people who use mods in Singleplayer? Personally I think that modding is great way for extend life of games (its longevity) I still play Dragon Age Origins/KOTOR 1 and 2 because it have great mods support, like as Skyrim/Fallout/GTA 5/Command and Conquer 3 Tiberum Wars/Generals/Heroes of Might and Magic III all these games are very playable and fun still today due modding community
Thank you for your answer

Is there any reason to think they'll ban modding in single player? DAI has mods, previous ME games have mods.
I don't think this game will be particularly mod friendly, but I'm hoping for some texture mods, maybe some hairstyles.

I agree with you (especially since people are unhappy with things modders could potentially fix), but I really don't think Bioware will ever officially support mods. As far as I know they've never officially denounced them, but unfortunately I don't see them ever coming out with an official modding kit or something.
But that might be more of an EA or Bioware Big Wigs thing

I miss the old Override directory. ME2-3 high res texture mod was a PITA.

I think the problem will be the engine, which isn't very mod friendly. I doubt Bioware will forbid it.

I think the problem will be the engine, which isn't very mod friendly. I doubt Bioware will forbid it. Luckily MEA is on the same engine as DAI, and modders were actually able to get quite a bit done in DAI. Then again DAI didn't use the whole 'face scan' CC thing, but at the very least we know it probably won't be the engine that puts up roadblocks. Plus I think Dragon Age has always had a larger modding community then Mass Effect? There are tons of mods for each game and, as far as I can see, very few comparatively for the Mass Effect series.

Non issue for me. Since I'm a Superior Console Player. Most mods for the Xbox One and PS4 versions of Fallout 4 and Skyrim SE haven't exactly wowed me, a few have but I'm no better with them or without them.

Is there someone who would respond no on this poll because they don't want an optional free content made by someone else?

They do not prohibit sp mods in the TOS, do they? I don't think they build an engine of the Let's Mod! Variety again, but I did not see the ye shall not mod anywhere yet?

One of the best mods I've ever used is the Updated / Improved Textures mod for the first Mass Effect. While textures won't be an issue for Andromeda obviously, the point is that sometimes companies don't have the time / resources / corporate permission to work on some things. I'm sure everyone on the BioWare staff would love to play the first Mass Effect with HD textures. If issues crop up with Andromeda that are too minor to fix, let's allow people to see what they can tweak. Yes, I know, Unreal 3 vs. Frostbyte 3 (or is it Frostbyte 4?). I'm not saying include a mod kit, but don't lock stuff away behind proprietary file extensions (unless of course there's, like, Day 1 DLC hidden in there somewhere...).

I mean on that if modders find some "crack" way in MEA to made more complex mods for game do Bioware will keep this way open or patch it... OK, but I don't know why you're worried about them doing that. I ask in case that modders find ways to change weapons loadouts of squadmates etc... Do Bioware will try to prevent this mod (which change gameplay).

I didn't count but have around 30 in Skyrim, 50 in Fallout 3, and 20 in Fallout 4, about 15 in DAI for Origins I dont know but I use one total conversion
