I'm not sure if this has been posted anywhere else yet, but I managed to unlock one of Alec Ryder's memories from the Ryder Family Secrets quest. At the end I was pleasantly surprised to see Ellen make an appearance via vidcall for a few moments (minor spoilers in the image subtitles):  This is how mine turned out. Not 100% sure yet if your customization affects her appearance. Better looking than my Alec at least.  Interestingly enough, the rest of the memory suggests that her illness might be part of Alec's motivation for creating SAM. |

Which preset did you use? I use 9 and mine looked the same Yep! Preset 9 for Sara. Alec seemed to take after the preset I used for Scott, now that I think about it. |

So wait...SAM is related to the mother how?? My running theory is that Ellens mind was mapped by SAM. Giving SAM. All her Memories and experience. Much like SAM has done with Alec. Their plan was to engineer two perfect children and then take over their bodies with SAMs help. Things went haywire when Alec jumped into One early so he created the memory blocks while they wait for the other to wake up from cyro and get healthy. Then when they have finished setting up Andromeda as a nice place to live Mom and Pop will take over their kids bodies and ride off into the sunset together. It is part of the reason they wouldnt let you romance your twin. It ruins the shock at the end. I suppose it is a good thing they dont let me write these things... |

So wait...SAM is related to the mother how?? It's likely Alec built SAM to help with his wife's terminal illness. The implication being that not only can SAM increase combat abilities, but the general well being by helping the body at the cellular level. Though basically it's a bunch of ScFi bullshit that doesn't make a lot of sense if you pick it apart. In theory it could make sense however, I doubt the mechanisms of how SAM will be able to do that will described in much detail. |

I've heard that mother's appearance is changed by your twin's preset, but I can not confirm that.
