The MEA CC is crap enough with bad facial hair etc. I like Alec Ryder's default look but if it has to change only minor features and have an ugly face because I customize, that sucks. Only eye color changes. Hopefully Bioware fixes this problem in the future. If his looks have to change, Bio should make him less ugly and more like our custom face, only older. Or have us customize his face entirely. I always customize but if Alec has to lose his looks then WTF?! His default is the best and if I want to customize Ryder, I should have the right to keep Alec default. Ugly ass presets ruin his character. I'm already in love with MEA but someone dropped the ball on CC. It has some improvements but it is definitely downgraded. Where is our lord and savior Marauder Shields when we need him?! We're gonna need a CC DLC just like ME3's extended cut.

So Huge spoiler but it's relevant and you already know it if you've watched/played the ea access. Because of said spoiler, I'm fine with it: There's no way we don't see Alec again later in the game. Bioware designed the character creator so it directly affects Alec. This is also probably a big reason why the character creator is so limited. They wouldn't sacrifice some levels of freedom in the Character Creator just to kill off Alec at the very beginning.

He's not dead Could be...But I wouldn't hold my breath .Sometimes there is no real important meaning behind some designer choices. |

I've spent like 2 hours trying to tweak my twins, and the 'autogenerated' daddy was NOTHING like either of them (I'm playing with customized preset 9 for the PC and customized preset 4 for her twin brother). Default daddy from the promos would've worked better, but it's like mommyRyder had a side-affair, really. Or had he adopted us, lol? Good thing that most of the time we see him wearing the helmet. Still - that was a huge disappointment. This 'autogeneration' is one of the reasons we can't mix&match in CC, but it works no better than the one from DA2. |

I actually liked my "altered" Alec Ryder better than the default one! He has a little more of an Admiral Adama vibe in my playthrough, so I'm happy with it.

The problem is that Alecs face doesn't adjust to match yours but rather just has 9 different presets depending on whether you pick head 1-8 or stick with default male ryder. He also always matches male ryder apparently whether your playing him or hes your brother. The only thing he will match on in regards to customisation is the eye colour.
As others have said easiest fix is letting us select keep default Alec Ryder face similar to our twin.
They could open up CC for dad to that would help.

I played Sara and chose very different presets for the siblings. For me, Alec looked like he was based on the character that i was playing and not the brother. In that specific playthrough, momRyder looked like she was based off broRyder. At least according to skin color. |

Alec always looks like an older version of your Scott. There is almost no familial resemblance if you picked a custom Sara Ryder though.
