It's difficult to know what 'performance/audio going downhill' means. Some specifics would help.
My first guess is possibly a RAM issue. Posting your system specs would help. (CPU, RAM, GPU)
I personally don't have any issues with the game playing on Ultra settings. I would disable any unnecessary programs running in the background before running the game and see if that helps. Some graphical options you may wish to explore/lower would be (I don't recall the options, I just selected Ultra to save time on my trial): textures, AA, shadows...any 'big picture' type options. The aforementioned 3 options can have a huge impact on FPS.

ya sorry about that my system specs are i5 6600k oc to 4.1 16gb of RAM gtx 1060 FE windows 10 64 bit screen res is 1600x900
this is the only game that i play that is having this problem with as i play longer then 20 minutes the game just starts performing worse FPS goes from solid 60 to 55 then to 47 and the audio starts crackling. restarting the gmaes does not fix this at all and changing the graphics settings to. only a full restart of my computer fixes this problem

Your specs look fine, however, I'm thinking you may not be able to run the game at max settings. You may need to play with them a bit and adjust some settings, such as texture size, to find a combination that will work. What I think is happening is that when textures and such get loaded into memory (RAM), that, or the busses that allow for the transfers, get 'crowded.' By reducing the amount of information that gets stored and transferred back and forth, it will allow for other sources to utilize that bandwidth as well--specifically your audio. This is why the problem gets fixed only when you reboot, because your memory gets 'flushed.' If your computer is a laptop, this will surely be the case. Many desktops that aren't custom built can suffer the same issues.
In short: minimize any external programs that are running and tinker with graphical settings, both in game and on your GPU. If you happen to find a setting that is similar in game AND on your GPU (AA and AF for example), always use your GPU's setting and disable the in-game settings. Let us know how it works out!

I watched the video. It's most definitely an issue with bus speed/information transfer. The person in the video explicitly states that settings are low, but textures are set to high. Textures can be huge and require a lot of bandwidth to pop in without hitching. This is the problem. Textures, Shadows, and AA are the largest consumers of RAM and bandwidth. Reduce them, and you should see results. You don't have to set everything on low. Furthermore, the person in the video is using a laptop, and laptop video cards aren't ideal, particularly when running games with heavy texture requirements. The requirements for this game are fairly steep, but adjustments on the user end can help.
My CPU/MOBO is 4 years old. I run a 980ti and have no issues.

this person has the same problem as me but was able to put it in to better words maybe this might help get this problem solved.

I am having the exact same issue. The game runs flawlessly for a little while, but performance gradually degrades, along with audio issues beginning, then getting worse. Quitting and restarting does not help, only restarting the entire pc. The audio issues actually begin to manifest outside of the game as well, YouTube videos will have audio issues in them, but only after playing Andromeda. All temperatures are ok, and I have never seen this behaviour in any other game.
