I know very few of us have the game yet and even fewer play ultrawide, but do you think there will be a fix for the cinematics to not be cut off like for witcher 3? it made the experience so much better, im honestly not sure where to even look for it

What do you mean cut off? Like not utilising the whole screen? Yes instead of 21:9 it goes to the more common 16:9 which a lot of games do which is understandable as the ultrawide market is very niche. I'm personally not going to fuss about it too much as long as the actual gameplay is in 21:9 which it is. It would be nice if cinematics were in 21:9 though

It would be nice if cinematics were in 21:9 though Ah I see, I was thinking of eventually getting a Wide SCreen myself, perhaps even curved. Now I have this issue to ponder, but like the guy above mentioned there will be a fix for that.

Pathfinder Lupo @lupon3 can we have in game cutscenes/dialogues in full 21:9 without black bars on the sides? Michael Gamble @gamblemikegoing to look into this for sure

I wouldn't hold my breath for the devs fixing this even though Micheal Gamble said he would look into it...
I'm anticipating that the guys from WideScreenGamingForums will be our saviors. The guys over on that forum fix most of the ultrawide problems you can think of and have saved rendered cutscenes for The W3, MGS5, DA:I and many others (actually, I think I used flawless widescreen to fix 21:9 for DA:I.. So maybe they will update it for ME:A)
Anyways, I tried to do a hex edit (this is basically what the guys at WideScreenGamingForums do) to the .exe for the trial where you change the hex string 55 55 15 40 to 8A E3 18 40 (8A E3 18 40 is what you paste in if you're gaming in 3440x1440). This is supposed to fix 16:9 cutscenes and dialogue into 21:9. This sadly did not work for ME:A, although I've had it work for other games... Anyways, this may be because of the Frostbite engine and that we need to wait for flawless widescreen to update their program for ME:A.
I'm not really that well versed when it comes to coding and hex editing, but it would be interesting to hear if anyone else has succeeded using hex edits. I can no longer mess around and try because my 10 hours are finished.

EDIT: I'm also using a 980TI. I've got an Acer x34 Predator. Everything maxed out you can expect fps in the range of 30-50 depending on the situation.

That's with absolutely everything cranked to the max. Ideally, I should have lowered the antialiasing and maybe mesh quality in the settings for a presumably steady 60fps, but my 10 hours are up so no can do. Regarding the black bars, it's annoying, but not gamebreaking. There will be a fix from the community, probably as early as next Wednesday. If not, it will happen in the near future. One thing is for certain, Bioware won't fix it, the ultrawide community will. I'm pretty sure the game ready drivers from geforce will boost performance a bit, but they won't come out until Tuesday the 21st.

I played as default Sarah Ryder and I was seriously unhappy with how she looks. I tried to do something nice on the CC but it just wasn't happening. Hopefully there's a CC patch on day one + an update for Flawlesswidescreen Also, it's pretty funny that most people were able to come to the end of the trial in under 10 hours where as I had barely started to explore Eos by the time my 10 hours were up. It just shows how good and possibly long this game is going to be. Can't wait for Tuesday.

Got it!! This fix works best for ultrawide, when playing in surround or on multimonitor's the galaxy map breaks and you have to hit alt+enter to select stuff www.3dsurroundgaming.com/FWS/ME_Andromeda_FWS.rarjust extract it in your FWS install folder and say yes to replace them

Got it!! This fix works best for ultrawide, when playing in surround or on multimonitor's the galaxy map breaks and you have to hit alt+enter to select stuff www.3dsurroundgaming.com/FWS/ME_Andromeda_FWS.rarjust extract it in your FWS install folder and say yes to replace them Nice. Just found out myself on WSGF and was going to post a solution. Seems you beat me to it

Just found out myself on WSGF and was going to post a solution. Seems you beat me to it FYI, this had been working fine for me till either the patch 1.07 or installation of the Nvidia 382.05 drivers. Have any of you noticed the Flawless Widescreen fix broken after the recent update or installation of the new Nvidia drivers?

What are you talking about?? I play ultra wide just fine, however the cuteness aren't in 21:9.

What are you talking about?? I play ultra wide just fine, however the cuteness aren't in 21:9. The cut scenes when leaving/landing on a world aren't 21:9. Nor are the scenes when you're talking with an NPC and the decision wheel comes up. However with the Flawlesswidescreen program, the scenes with the NPC become widescreen and appear without the black bars on the right and left. Since the last patch or when I updated to the latest Nvidia drivers, Flawlesswidescreen stopped working and I have the black bars on the right and left again.
