Jien Garson [SPOILERS]

She seems too important a character to kill off off-screen

Well we did see Alec in the first mission. And he gets a nice arc
Garson just dies anti-climatically. Doesn't make sense for a character that's been hyped.

She doesn't sound all that competent (she didn't plan for a worst case scenario it seems (!)), but she was a visionary, so yeah:

I'd have loved to talk to her!

As for the "new" director...damned, why do stupid politicians get to run shit everywhere, even in emergencies? I'd love to airlock him (but then again: He at least gives you a chance, the Colonial Affairs director just blows you off (sadly no interrupt to tell her where to fucking STICK IT!))...but maybe he's not that bad (hell, even Nakmor Kesh (spelling?), the superintendent of the Nexus admits that he probably means well and for a Krogan that's a damned compliment to make (especially if the one complimented is a Salarian - Genophage and all that makes Krogans not like them much!)), I'd love it if his politician spiel is just that: A facade (I'd love him to actually be STG and only reveal it in dire circumstances!)

ps: At least the new director does have some resolve (using the Krogan to pacify the Nexus? That takes guts because it's a hard solution, especially if you tell the Krogan to basically "Fuck off!" afterwards!)

You keep using that word. I don't think you know what it actually means.

I'm not against spoilers personally. I like knowing the product I'm getting before I buy it. Doesn't make the story any less impactful for me. But it is plain and simple courtesy, especially before a game is released, not to have blatant spoilers in thread titles, since they can be seen by those who are not actively searching the Spoiler forum.

I think there's an informative vid screen with what seems to be Jien Garson without a helmet, but I'm not sure if it's actually her.

Yeah, I don't know why it would be a big deal honestly.

This is what happens when you jump the gun and assume things.

Makes sense, they get rid of all those that would have known exactly what to do in the crisis and done it as effectively and as quickly as they could. This way you have a bunch of lower rankers fighting for control and no one who really knows how to handle the situation they face. Plus if these important people didn't die or whatever, the character role would be a lot less interesting..
