Erm... It's been fine. I won't spoil it, but there's probably 3 times I face palmed.
If you want to be a paragon, then the player dialogue is perfect. You get 3 nice options and a neutral. If you wanted some variety or to be stern or a prick, its kinda non-existent.
Its tough to say because you're locked in what is essentially the prologue/Hinterlands of DAI. But I do have my concerns about the game going forward. Lets just say it isn't unpredictable.

I think that early in the game they won't allow you to be a dick because you have no real authority as this pathfinder nobody believes is really a pathfinder and if you'd be a douche too, I'd just shoot your face off and found someone who would be willing to cooperate.
But I've seen people complain about it in other threads and I definitely see why because there's really not an option to be an ass, the closest one is professional tone which is.. You know. Professional, not an asshole-ish tone.
Maybe later in the game where you really have a chance to strongly disagree with someone, or when you've brought up at least 1 planet into 100% viability or whatever it's called, then you'd have enough respect to be allowed to be a dick tho it's still a long stretch.
If it's not the case, then I'm pretty sure it's impossible to implement in patch or anything because it's too basic thing from the game itself and would need too much work to do, new voice lines for everyone in the scene, new animations and such.

Right now it seams as if Ryder has only one personality, really... you can vary some stuff - for instance how close you are to your father - with your dialogue choices, but in general the character seams to be set to either be more hopeful/funny/naive (left hand choices) or realistic/professional/snarky (right hand choices). No responses so far seam to be widely different in tone to all others, though.

I don't see the question.
What you are saying tho is pretty accurate, Ryder is just kinda a-ok with everything going on, you can't get mad or anything but I think we will build this character very differently than from what we used to in the trilogy. If you looked in the codex there is your psychological profile which saves your attitude towards people so I think when story will unfold there will be much more to do with our Ryder when it comes to her/his attitude.
