Hi folks, for those of you who were lucky to play already, which ryder's dialogue delivery you liked better?

Both give strong performances I felt. I felt Sara had a bit more passion at times to her tone but honestly both did an excellent job. I intend to play both (in ME1 and Me2 I couldn't play male shep as I felt Mark Meer's delivery was too flat compared to Hale's... though in ME3 his performance was vastly improved and I managed to complete a male shep playthrough thanks to it). This time however I can easily see myself enjoying both performances.

I like them equally. I'll have to do multiple playthroughs to see each one and their different reactions and stuff with all the dialogue choices.

I found the female VA had a great range,I was actually impressed. She can sound a tiny bit in charge like Female Shepard but without overdoing it, I had her joking, almost crying and being vulnerable and all of it felt smooth and believable. I was actually impressed. So far she's the best female protagonist VA I ever played.

Sounds promising.
I liked Male Shepard better than Female Shepard.
I have liked (bolded the most favorite one):
female leads: F!Smuggler and F! Bounty Hunter in SWTOR male leads: M!Hawke, M!Shepard, M!Bounty Hunter, M!Smuggler
I really did not like: female leads: F!Agent, F!Hawke and F!Inquisitor male leads: M!Consular and M!Agent
Anyone could advise based on those preferences, or am I really just have to listen for a few minutes of the intro?

Fun fact, Female Cypher and FemHawke are voiced by the same Voice Actress Based on this, it looks like you dislike VAs with british accent. Considering that, you should be fine with both, since both use american accent.

I also prefer lower voices for both genders, and a bit hoarse. Outdoorsy/tough life sort of :) And, obviously cooping with emotional material okay.

SisRyder is my favorite of the 4 actors of the Mass Effect games. BroRyder is somewhere more uncertain, maybe better or maybe about as good as the Shepards.
I'm basing some of this this off appeal of acting style and character presentation - I prefer explorers more than soldiers, for example.
Since I like the sound of SisRyder so much (and spoilers about recent romance choice revelations), I may even make her my main. Ugh. I don't WANT to, but she sounds better and she has more of a deal I like (even her relatively more curiosity about things as a character). Only sadness is that she's female.
But whatever, point is, she sounds great. Really sounds the idea of Ryder more, a departure from say, FemShep, whereas BroRyder has that part (in dialogue options, in design) that seems to try to have a strong aspect that at least optionally is like a softer (Male)Shepard. And I'm done with Shepard as playable protagonist.

IMO. Just gotta fix the damn face and animations for Ryder.

I think I'm the only one that hates Fryda's voice and voice acting. She's my least favorite VA out of the 4: her, Tom, Mark & Jennifer. Yes, I'll even take Mark Meer's bland delivery of ME1 and ME2 over Fryda's way too earnest, childish, dorky voice in this game.

I honestly find myself having a hard time really choosing, but it's made so much better in the fact that both VA's get to exist in the same universe at the same time, unlike Meer and Hale. I think Bio did a good job casting these two to be siblings. I do like some of F!Ryder's random goofy lines though: "If I get eaten alive, no matter how hilarious…..destroy the vids."

I like SisRyder for sure, but have no intention of ever playing Scott.
Male Shepard was just ok but a bit deadpan, which is why I find YouTube poop of him more amusing. All the male VAs in DAI sucked ass compared to the female British VA.

UPDATED VERSION:
I think SisRyder acted it better throughout. I'm only playing BroRyder but I'm going off of much footage I've seen. And I don't just mean 'better actor', but acting better as a Ryder protagonist. I'd say the same for MShep in ME3, where I think Meer surpassed Hale and understood the character better finally.
However, SisRyder's character appearances and animations can be more noticeably annoying and downright jarring, so its a tossup for what to pick, at least for now.
But sure I'm looking forward to a SisRyder run.

Played Sara while my son played Scott, so I was able to do a lot of side-by-side comparisons. Both did a really good job, not a HUGE disparity like there was between femShep and broShep, but I think, in the end, Tom does slightly better. Will probably only be replaying as Sara, tho.

This threads a bit old, but OP, if you like F!Smuggler in SWTOR you should like Fryda as Ryder. She's similar in being able to deliver the funnier/light-hearted lines well but then also switch to more serious stuff with ease.

I think they're both great. I detest the hate that was spewed at Mark Meer by so much of fandom. Both he and Hale were fantastic.
