If you're not checking them out already, I highly recommend Billy & Blar's ProducerHax podcasts.
Tonight's was another fun/informative podcast (which should be up on YT later this week). They both seem genuinely excited about MEA and have been showing it off to bunch of different groups over the last month. The reception has apparently been very positive and they both seem particularly keen about your squadmates in this game. Even going so far as saying this is a stronger cast than in the original trilogy. Obviously, no matter what the cast is like, opinions are gonna be all over the map. However, their enthusiasm was definitely there, and admittedly I felt a slight twinge of pre-release hype.
They also touched on the game being in a playable state now with the pieces of the game all starting to connect. Everyone has their head down now squashing bugs and refining the game. Apparently BioWare games typically come together ~6 weeks before being sent off for certification, so they're happy they've gotten MEA to this stage considerably earlier. Hopefully, fingers crossed, we'll have a fairly polished game at release.
