Anyone with early access could be so kind to help in clearing the following?
Are weapons mods class-locked in Andromeda, or not? i.e. can I apply something like a power magnifier/scope on a shotgun?
Thank you very much

If you're asking whether or not you can swap say, a scope from a pistol to an assault rifle, then no. When you find a mod it's locked to a particular weapon type.
If you're asking whether or not each weapon type has access to all of the mod types, then I'm not 100% sure. I did find a sniper ultralight materials mod tho (level 1, about an 8% reduction from memory), which is a good sign. I don't think that particular mod was possible in vanilla ME3.

Nope it wasn't - one of the DLCs brought that in (don't know which one, mine were a "bulk" purchase (got all of them in one swoop, I couldn't take the wait for ME:A anymore, despite swearing I'll never buy DLC for ME3 (I still don't like the main game, but the DLC is not bad IMHO...I mean the clone from Citadell seems like something TIM would do...on the other hand, clone Shep's personality would make sure that he's discovered soon (especially if compared to a paragon or paragade Shepard! That damned clone isn't even Renegade he/she is just a fucking asshole plain and simple and it's not like a clone has (or should have!) all your memories - meaning as soon as someone wants an authorization code from him/her the game is up!) But yeah, I found that mod, too (used it, too - love to snipe but I also love biotics so I am a biotic-sniper...it's fun to plug Kett from a distance (and then Carnifex them when they close in ...or throw them in to walls, of cliffs, into water etc.) greetings LAX

I remember being able to pick a couple of them up at the lab on the Citadel. OT, but Leviathan is close to being my favourite DLC in any Bioware game. I love the creepiness of it and the deep-diving but at the end. It's just got so much mystery to it.

I'm interested in the latter, more than the former, hence my example about power magnifier/scope on a shotgun, something ME3 doesn’t allow (only on SMGs and Pistols/ sniper and assault rifles). But thank you for the information : I’m asking because I’m interested in how this time it will be possible to synergize best between powers and weapons.

Still, that diving stuff is exactly why I hate that our Nomad explodes when it comes into contact with water and that we can't swim! greetings LAX

After further research and some videos, I know now for a fact now that in ME:A that weapons mods are “class specific”. If power magnifiers apply to shotgun, they will be “shotgun power magnifiers” different from “pistol power magnifiers”: :crying:either don’t seem to exist for now though. In any case, I think I’ll spend a big chunk of my time in Andromeda fiddling with our boomsticks. First thing first though, I’ll have to find the one that complete my playstyle best...
