This is a bit like reheating yesterdays dinner but I'm in a idle speculation mood mulling over some ill thought out, off the top of my head thoughts, so please indulge me. I was just thinking about the whole Shepard - Illusive Man/Cerberus dynamic.
Here we go again then. In the scenario we are presented with we have Commander Shepard (due to force of circumstance) making a deal with the devil and working for a former enemy a ruthless organisation that she/he has always despised. I don't know but in this scenario could Shepard be representative of the staff at Bioware and The Illusive Man/Cerberus represent their corporate overlords Evil Arts. Could this be a little bit of mischief by the writers?
I know this is going over old ground and it's not a particulary stunning or new observation, but as I said indulge me, I'm in a funny mood.

I had this thought as well. It cannot be denied some writers are inspired by their workplace. In fact, this shows in Andromeda too.
When I played it yesterday some NPCs I could talk to was on about issues where staff had been in disagreements causing them to abandon the Initiative and go rogue or get fired. The notion that "the leaders are in conflict" reminded me sooo much of what i read in those company reviews on Glassdoor just in the way it was phrased, it was a real "wait, really?" moment. Could easily be coincidental but it really reminds me of all the things we've heard about the development of this game and the work-flow at Montreal.

Unless you're sitting in Bioware's offices, you have absolutely nothing on which to base this rather wild assumption. Writers are also inspired by events in the news and by their friends situations in their workspaces. It could also be inspired by others works of literature... like, say, Mutiny on the Bounty... and Bioware has a clear history of incorporating their own takes on various pieces of classical literature in their games.

As for breadcrumbs, Within ten minutes of you turning up, I had finished the bread and moved on to the coffee and cigars, and at this late stage I am in a cab with two lady companions on my way to the Pink Pussycat in Lower Regent Street. I hear they're looking for door staff, maybe I could put in a good word for you. I don't know if the travelling expenses will stretch as far as Tuchanka though. How about free Ryncol instead.

To Ryncol. And everything with Ryncol in it. *Lifts Ryncol*

Could easily be coincidental but it really reminds me of all the things we've heard about the development of this game and the work-flow at Montreal. The reasons why I considered this are based in my own experience. I've worked in places that I've hated and I've created and distributed (under their noses) works of fiction inspired by the people, bosses, ethos and working environment I encountered there. Some of them read it, found it funny and failed to realise it was about them. In my experience when I was working for people I didn't respect, or who showed no respect to their colleagues and staff I would try and seize every opportunity to get one over on them. In such situations it's a very tempting thing to do.
