Anyone finds music to be a bit...off?

I actually was thinking during those scenes "fuck, the music is amazing right now!".

I like the more grandiose style of synth and horn combinations: feels suitably epic now, suits the narrative IMO.

I haven't had a problem with the music so far. Sometimes I feel the character's emotional reactions to what is going on seems off. Guess it is all subjective.

Music that is too obtrusive can get irritating in a long game.

Yeah, I had the same impression. Didn't feel like Mass Effect to me.

Also, I actually think the whole platitudes and grandiose speech in the beginning leading up to the "Ark reveal" shot was supposed to have been this game's equivalent of the first time you see the Citadel in ME1 or something. The music is a definitive downgrade. It feels much more like a netflix show whereas the original felt like a popular cable-TV show from back inthe day which was both more sensational and IMO less trashy. I tried watching Arrow or whatever it was and Stranger Things and all those netflix-publishes shows all have the same feel to them. It's a bunch of imitated, tryhard writing, bad actors and shitty digital filming and the music is just bland as hell.
