<<<<<<<<<<(0)>>>>>>>>>> Do you guys remember this leak from a Reddit post, which was removed (April 2015)? The story is said to take place in a section of the Andromeda Galaxy called the Helius Cluster. Players will take on the role of a Pathfinder, an explorer who is set to lead an expedition into the Helius Cluster to pave the way for human colonization. That's not going to be easy, however, because the Cluster is filled with warring alien races. Players will have to make hard choices and form uneasy alliances with these various races in order to achieve their goals. Along the way players will uncover the ruins of an ancient civilization left by the Remnant, whose technology will be the key to controlling this section of the galaxy.
Additional info here: www.techtimes.com/articles/47212/20150419/possible-mass-effect-4-leak-reveals-story-details-new-characters.htmIf we take this leak as mostly true, that last sentence gives the purpose for exploring and Ryder's two main goals. .... Colonization and Control. Furthermore, another Bio statement "...the approach you take and how you say it..." may also apply to diplomatic efforts = uneasy alliances. I'd forgotten that there is more than one warring race (ie: the Khet + local races). With whom do we make alliances? ... hard choices indeed. Thoughts?

My thoughts back when I originally read leak stuff and you making this post now is about the same. I can sum it up as a big ol 'fuck yeah!'.

In terms of diplomacy, I believe I would go about like any reasonable Elcor would. With an offering of a limited edition Elcor plushie & a copy of Fornax: Asari (No Hair) Edition. If all else fails the gun will probably kill them while I tell them to calm down.
The conversation would go something like this:
Alien - "Holy shit what da fuck is that?!" Elcor - "With Pride: Hello alien, I am from a race called the Elcor & with to establish peace." Alien - *Shits self* Elcor - "Happily: As a peace offering I extend to you a limited edition Elcor plushie & a copy of Fornax for when you feel lonely." Alien - "These are weird Asaru, they don't have eyebrows...." Elcor - "With Curiosity: We cool?"
(Ending 1) Alien - "Yeah, we cool tank thing."
(Ending 2) Alien - "Of course not you overgrown (input native four legged species here)." GunVI - "Detecting hostiles... open fire." Elcor - "I guess I'll keep the offerings (looks through Fornax magazine)."
More on topic though it would be amazing for replayability if we could have meaningful (key word there) alliances & enemies depending on our direct & indirect choices regarding individual races.

That's kinda what it sounds like to me. That you'd be having to pick sides and that'll have some kinda outcome for the rest of the game. Question is when do you pick those sides? End of the game so the last stretch is different? Could be a theme that crops up on more then one hub area.
Personally I'd hope for more of a multiple or mid-game time period on that kinda choice. But I'd be happy either way.

The Hanar is spreading his religious views & the Volus is trying to establish trade routes along the planet & making further plans to extend this across the galaxy. What I posted was just the Elcors assignment (they visited as a team & split up). Otherwise everyone would get scared at the group consisting of a Biotic God, flesh tank, & space jellyfish. Probably would be a hit on Fornax though.

Fornax would be an important tool for introducing Milky Way species to the new galaxy. It would explain the relevant physiology (and, erm, flexibility) of all the new kids. For science, of course.

Let us not forget reach.
What is flexibility, without reach?

I would be surprised if this is not part of the game at all. We might have to make a choice between say two minor races, which determine which side of a conflict we fall on for example. I would expect the Khet to be involved in that decision as well in some form, maybe as a universal antagonist or as a minor antagonist that we have to reluctantly join. It could turn into a Dances with Wolves type of scenario for us there too...

Sartoz : Not entirely, but maybe? I mean the estimated Goldilocks planets in our own galaxy is absurdly high, higher then ones that would potentially have life on them. Andromeda is way bigger then that. Good chance we could find a planet not inhabited that doesn't require us 'take over'. That said you are going to be dealing with 'some' space faring races. And it's their galaxy, or their governments we have to deal with outside of just grabbing a planet or 3 and going for it. So we'll have to deal with that either way. I doubt we'll just invade, that's not really what are species does much of anymore. We tend to fight over other things. Especially when there's so much damn room to find something else. It's the whole Krogan problem if you think about it. EVERY other race would of just picked non-inhabited stuff cause there's like 99% stuff no ones explored yet in the Milky Way. Krogan? Why do that when you can go to war cause wars fun and you can take other peoples shit. Only race who thinks that way in the Milky Way is Krogans and Batarians. So yeah I doubt we'll be invading anyone. Definitely trying to find a few homes for are species while trying to deal with the political climat of the new galaxy (which is apparently war ).

Well, it's entirely possible that each of the three ark ships had mass relays in them, and were each sent to different clusters of space. Then, once there, they were supposed to signal the other relays that they were in place.
This is why the N7 character plays such a fundamental role, because he is the commander of the second ark ship. Ryder's commander either has to be killed or be so weak it's not even funny. I think that Ryder will be the second in command, taking the helm of this great big ark and the Tempest. It's not like BioWare to give up the third act, or the third ship, at least this far from release date.
I think what we have seen is pretty far into the game, just you gotta put all the pieces together. Thoughts on this?
EDIT : It's either that or the N7 commander of the second ark ship kills your commander (the guy we see being dropped), and we have to go and find out why? Because remember, we do see him at the helm of the ark, with the salarian and the turian.
Hmmmm.
