You only are able to see two (including one for preorders) in the trial... I wouldn't expect that to remain true for the remaining 9/10 of the game.

Despite lacking weaponry I think I am going to enjoy the Nomad more than the mako I think the Mako is objectively better than the Nomad tbh (it had machine guns and a cannon ). The reason we remember the Mako in a somewhat bad light, is because of those old ME1 planets. All the tall mountains were really difficult to traverse, but I don't think it would be much better with the Nomad even with the 6 wheel drive.

Mako is really crappy and a all-terrain vehicule not being able to do all terrain is crappy design. You can actually drive the Nomad, which made it better than the Mako. Not saying that the Nomad is great but that the mako was one of the worst vehicule in games.

Many of the mountains in ME1 were nearly 90 degree climbs (I'm exagerating of course, but the climbs were really steep). After playing the 10-hour ME:A trial, I can honestly say, the Nomad would not have been able to make many of those climbs either. There were tons of steep hills I was unable to make in the Nomad even with the 6 wheel drive activated and a bit a momentum and boost going into it. I definitely would not call the mako "crappy", it's the ME1 planet terrains that were "crappy".

But the level design and gameplay are related.
Crossing mountains was the point of the Mako. It does not matter if the mountains were too hard to climb and irrealistic in design. The level is part of the mako GD, if the mako don't do what it was supposed to do then it is bad design.
Mako was not implemented to do bland plain driving but for 3 dimensionnal exploration, it could not do it so it was crappy. Even if you weren't climbing mountains it was constantly bouncing and changing trajectory.

People really exaggerate how bad it was driving the Mako, honestly. And I just did another playthrough, so it's not like I aint touched it in a while. Once ya know exactly how the thing moves n stuff it's not bad.

It is not the worst thing ever.
However when you add new mechanics to a game they should fit the game and be well done. Driving is consuming in term of ressource and in term of gameplay it add nothing, worse it was baddly done.
That is like planet scanning, useless, a waste of ressource and somehow mandatory for other aspect of the game.

I just wish the Nomad had an upgrade that would provide minimal (just distracts enemies) to moderate (hurts smaller enemies, distracts bigger enemies) cover fire if you fight near it.
That would make a lot of complaints go away.

Can we get nested paint schemes for the Nomad? Like two/three-tone paint layouts?
