Ya, crates too. Though the scuttlebutt is that you can't respec to zero, you will still end up with one point in each of your powers, for ALL TIME.

It's not such a problem since the character cards also give you ability points. I haven't been able to confirm it completely yet, but once your character is level X (do not confuse with XP level, I'm talking the card level I, II, III, IV, ..., X), you're gonna be able to build with 6/6/6/6/6. This would mean the "can't respect to zero" is not a good argument as soon as you get your character level II.

One of the dev's tweeted no max builds, they want you to experiment with different builds. This is what I have so far... Considering we're always talking about a level 1 character (XP wise): At card level I there's 2 ability points unassigned, 3 ability points assigned (for a total of 5). At card level II there's 6 ability points unassigned. At card level III there's 6 ability points unassigned. At card level IV there's 10 ability points unassigned. At card level V there's 10 ability points unassigned. At card level VI there's 15 ability points unassigned. I'm inclined to believe this translate in the following for later card levels At card level VII there's 15 ability points unassigned. At card level VII there's 20 ability points unassigned. At card level IX there's 20 ability points unassigned. At card level X there's 26 ability points unassigned. <-- less sure about this one, maybe 24 instead (see down below for the reason) What else do we know? I'm level 15 with my Female Human Adept III and have 47 points invested + 4 available for a total of 51 ability points. At card level III, there's 6 points from card level so the 15 levels (XP) would have given me 45 points (51-6=45), which represents 3 points/level. Given that the first XP level has 3 ability points assigned, that would suggest the formula is different from ME3MP and we would have a fixed 3 points/level instead of an increasing amount of points in the later levels. Thus with 20 levels from XP, this would give 60 ability points. Maxing a skill tree takes 21 points, maxing 4 skill trees takes 84 points. 84 - 60 = 24 missing points. These would come from the cards. So yeah, this could make sense we couldn't max 6/6/6/6/6 as this would require 105 points. To my defense, I did say I wasn't able to confirm it yet when I made that statement. It's also understandable that I was under the impression the formula for points/levels would be like ME3MP where later levels give more points, which would have supported my theory. I'm a bit disappointed we can't max 6/6/6/6/6, we traded the full 84 points from ME3MP for 60 points + a ton of grinding for the card levels... It ain't our best deal... What we can conclude is until you get to card level X, you're gonna be less effective than in ME3MP that had the full 84 points from the get go.

That actually sucks, then. It can't be right, it would mean we would need to get UR characters to X before we could even build them to their fullest extent. Which isn't just annoying, it's cruel...

So ballparking this it looks like your Rank I level 20 kit would be able to max 3 skills, skip 2. Getting them to Rank X would enable you to max 4, skip 1, or 6/6/6/4/4

Your best now would be 6/1/6/5/6, for instance - which annoys me. It shouldn't, but it really DOES.
