So don't dwell on it, it's clearly not the game you're looking for.
I think it's worth $60 on a content basis, if you can tolerate the bugs/animations/cringey story and play the entire thing. The issue is so many elements are sub-par that you might want to skip the bad parts. E.G. I'm only interested in combat, and multiplayer seems enjoyable, yet that alone isn't worth $60.
Besides, $20 for multiplayer-only copies to fund dedicated servers so this shit doesn't happen sounds good to me:

Technically it's already on sale for 20% off on amazon. TitanFall 2 went on sale a month later because of black friday and the holidays. It didn't sell as well because battlefield one released a week before. That was dumb on EA's part.
It'll go on sale at a few retailers by June depending on the full reviews. I would wait, but I'm dumb and I want the preorder bonuses.
Does EA Origin have a 4th of July sale? If so, that'd be my guess.
But you never know. When I look at the release calendar, it does not look like this is going to be a banner year for multi-platform AAA RPG titles. ME:Andromeda might do ok sort of by default.

Still might be one of the best years for AAA gaming.
REsident Evil 7, Nioh, For Honor, Horizon Zero Dawn, Zelda BOTW, Nier: Automata, Mass Effect Andromeda, Persona 5, Injustice 2, Red Dead Redemption 2, Destiny 2, Prey, Days Gone, God of War (More likely Q1 2018), Spiderman PS4, Crackdown 3, Assassins Creed in Ancient Egypt, COD (I know, I know but it'll be in WWII again), Super Mario on Switch, possibly Pokemon on Switch, and hopefully some unannounced games

Battlefield a week before, and Call of Duty a week or two after it.
Game was sandwiched in between two other, much bigger shooters. Only thing Mass Effect has for competition is Zelda, Nier: Automata, Persona 5, and MLB: The Show. The cannibalization overlap is not there.
EA needs to do something to overcome all of those bug and glitch videos; though I'm sure Let's Plays will cover much of that once people get long plays with people not focusing 10 minutes on glitches. Anyone expecting a 9.5 or 10/10 game is just asking for disappointment, though.
But to answer the question posed in the OP; it'll take six weeks. There will be a price drop by May.

I'm sure EA did the research and opted to take to Q4 Holiday sales of Titanfall 2 over waiting until Q1. Now that I think of it, what 1st person shooter ever came out besides right before the holiday season. There's Destiny, but that's a different animal and it still came out in September with a ton of promotions during the holidays.

They didn't have to wait, they should've just released it first. Releasing it before Battlefield wouldn't cannibalize Battlefield due to those who didn't want an acrobatic shooter and those who are hardcore Battlefield fans wouldn't put it off in order to wait a week/two weeks for CoD. The playstyles for Titanfall and Infinite Warfare were too close to each other and Call of Duty is far too popular for TF to not have been impacted by their releases being so close.
Had Titanfall came out first, people would've flocked to it instead of putting it off for the bigger name.
Mass Effect Trilogy, Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age 2, Dragon Age Inquisition, KOTOR, Jade Empire, Mass Effect Andromeda, SWTOR, Anthem, Mass Effect Legendary Edition

EA shot itself on the foot with a rocket launcher by putting the game between two other big releases like that.
It's all ready been on sale, some of us got it for 30% off back in Feb when it was accidentally reduced on Origin for a couple of hours, which i'm extremely grateful for.
There is something about the presence of a cat... that takes the bite out of being alone.
If Rockstar made a sci-fi game it would be like an alternate reality bioware game. The technical side (animations and writing, etc.) would be spotless, possibly even ground-breaking but people expect that from Rockstar.
People on reddit, twitter, etc. would ignore all that and instead be complaining about the lack of meaningful dialogue choices and quest options, player customisation and romance. In fact they'd probably be complaining about the depiction of women and LGBTs, the casual drug use, explicit sex, language and gratuitous violence. They'd complain about the lack of PC release and then complain that the hardware requirements were too demanding a year later. One way or another people will complain about even Rockstar games, but Rockstar loves controversy. They fully embrace it to the extent that the more bad press they get, the more games they sell.
What would a BioWare grand theft auto clone look like? I wonder if we're going to find out soon.

Honestly I've always kind of wanted Rockstar to make an RPG.
