So I got the Revenant up to X during my trial, slapped on magazine capacity and the damage barrel and played it with the Krogan Mercenary on Silver. Obviously, it needs to be tested on Gold once the game comes out and I am sufficient level but it actually seems better than its previous iteration. Most notably, I noticed that the Revenant has built in cover penetration though to what degree I am not sure. I suspect when fully modded out with a well levelled Krogan mercenary with the appropriate recoil and accuracy bonuses it could be a go to weapon for the class. Has anyone else tried the Revenant? I am eagerly awaiting Thursday to try it on Gold to see if it stacks up.

I only Managed to get it to Rank 3, but it is too inaccurate for my tastes, even with munition Training and Turbo Charge maxed towards accuracy and stability. You'd have to let enemies practically sit on you to get full effect, which I tend to not want Thokin is my go-to assault rifle untill I can get an accurate full-auto kinetic assault rifle that isn't the Avenger.

The Thokin is clearly the winner in terms of accuracy and lack of recoil but that is of course not the strength of the Revenant, which is the clip size, ROF and in this game the cover penetration. I only played the Krogan Mercenary and I found it to work pretty well with him. I think with the extended magazine mod (III?) I had about 95 shots per magazine and with Fortitude up I was able to take a fair amount of punishment as well. I have yet to try it in conjunction with a class with turbo charge but I will see.

It's just that there's a lack of accurate kinetic (aka, hit scan) autofiring assault rifles. Or that I'm a player in need of my clutch (Harrier), and I suspect the truth lies somewhere in the middle (Only had Harrier rank 1 in ME3MP). The Thokin is very nice, and is as noted is my go-to Assault rifle currently. It's just that the plasma blobs have travel time, which makes it annoying hitting moving targets.

Glad to hear the Revenant is back to actually being a good gun that only the richest warlords can afford.

Glad to hear the Revenant is back to actually being a good gun that only the richest warlords can afford. It definitely feels better than its previous incarnation. It has natural cover penetration it seems, which is always useful.
