There's a lot of love and hate for the game going around, and numbers out of ten being thrown willy nilly. There's also some legit praise and criticism out there, but it's scattered. What I suggest is a breakdown of what you love about the game, what you hate about the game, and everything it between:
(+++) Love it (++) Really like it (+) Like it (+/-) Borderline / No opinion either way (-) Dislike it (--) Really dislike it (---) Hate it!

(++) Overall Impression [After Trial]
(+++) Combat - Absolutely loving its fluidity and challenge. Best feeling Mass Effect game to date!
(++) RPG Elements - I think this is the perfect balance for an action RPG. Leveling has enough depth, but doesn't bog you down. Crafting is appropriately deep. Wish you had a bit more control over your squadmates. (++) Exploration - In terms of exploration, this is what the first Mass Effect should have been. The only thing dragging this down is the overly tedious interplanetary travel. (++) Characters - I'm finding the characters every bit as interesting as the original cast (though, there's a problem as I'll note later). (++) Environments - Environments look gorgeous and are appropriately outfitted. (++) Dialogue Wheel - Gotta be honest, I'm digging the new dialogue wheel. Feels way more natural than just paragon/renegade. I do lament the fact that you can't be a complete dick anymore, but I tend to play paragon more often anyway. (++) Stability - I've encountered a few small graphical bugs and one sound bug in ten hours of play. That's pretty damn good for a 100+ hour, open world game. Especially on PC and pre-launch!
(+) Voice Acting - I find the voice acting to be somewhat mixed, but most of the primary characters have great voice work. (+) Nomad - It definitely wasn't as good as I was expecting, but it fulfills its role better than any other land vehicle we've seen in Mass Effect. (+) User Interface - So far it gets the job done. Nothing groundbreaking. (+) Side Quests - They've been mostly interesting. There are some fetch-quest types, but most have a sufficiently interesting narrative. (+) Dialogue - I'm generally happy with the writing. There are definitely some cheesy lines, but I can usually ignore them rather than let them annoy me.
(+/-) Story - I'm interested in the story so far, but it doesn't yet have the same mystery feeling of ME1 and ME2, or the stakes of ME3. (+/-) Cover System - Once I got used to it, I consider it on par with the original trilogy's. I don't see it as an improvement, and sometimes it's derpy. (+/-) Character Creator - I don't have an opinion on this as I tend not to use them.
(-) Interplanetary Travel - As cool as it looks, it takes far too long to travel between planets. I'd say this is almost as bad as ME2's scanning mechanic. (-) Lack of Interrupts - I've played ten hours, and only encountered one potential interrupt opportunity. This isn't a huge issue, but still a disappointment. (-) Musical Score - Have not been impressed with the score yet. The trilogy was riddled with memorable tracks, and I've yet to encounter one in Andromeda that sticks out.
(--) Character Models - Honestly, I think they're a step backwards from the original trilogy, which is particularly alarming given it's 2017. It's like they're missing details, textures, etc., and have been dumbed down, kind of stylized. The worst are the humans and Asari, because of their buggy, doll eyes. Speaking of Asari, they don't have the diversity they had in the original trilogy. Turians are mostly bland. I think the Krogan are a little off, but okay. Drack looks great. I do like the Salarians too. (--) Lack of a weapon/power wheel - I really don't like that they took it away, but I understand why they did it. Would still prefer to have it back in SP. (--) General Animations - I've seen a lot of weird movement out of some characters. They don't tend to walk normally or react properly to the situation. Often animations are out of sync or out of position.
(---) Facial Animations - This is really killing me. Not only do facial animations make characters look derpy (holy shit, those eyes!), but they make it impossible to read what emotion a character is expressing. This is a huge problem, because it totally breaks immersion when a voice actor is giving some great work, but the character doesn't emote properly. It also lessens the impact of great character writing, turning it into a bit of a farce. Facial animations are rightfully being ridiculed. I'm really pissed that they released the game with these animations! They basically shot themselves in the foot, because this is all anyone's going to talk about.

(+) Overall Impression [After Trial] (+++) Combat - When I press a button something awesome happens. (--) RPG Elements / Dialogue Wheel - Borderline not an RPG. (+/-) Dialogue - No one is a pathfinder until they have path found! Omni-tools are tools! (+) Exploration / Environments - Fun at first, get's a bit old though due to the speed of exploration and spaces that are a bit empty. Most environments look really good though. (+) Characters - Most are alright, didn't get to know them much though due to limited time, except Miss tired face, that is just.. (+) Stability - Was mostly alright except for a few bugs with the scanner and slow-motion that would fix itself if if tabbed out and back in. (+) Voice Acting - Most are alright. (+) Nomad - Feels just like Mako. (+) User Interface - Basically a reskin of ME3 interface. (+/-) Side Quests - I like meaningful sidequests, not errands. (?) Story - Dunno yet (++) Cover System - Like it (--) Character Creator - Very poor (-) Interplanetary Travel - Needs to be skipable. (--) Lack of Interrupts - What did I say about RPG? (+) Musical Score - I like it, need to hear some more. (+) Character Models - Pretty good. (?) Lack of a weapon/power wheel - Don't care, I don't use it. (+/-) General Animations - Sometimes good, sometimes bad, hit or miss all game long. (--) Facial Animations - Needs a lot of work. Also I feel like this is a bit different type of thread, but you might want to share your thoughts here bsn.boards.net/thread/5130/early-access-players-spoiler-feedback

(+++) Crafting. It seemed like it is going to be a very enjoyable experience and I quite liked being able to go ammo less on one of my crafted Avengers. Even in only playing a short while there were plenty of crafting options from the start. (+++) Combat. It feels so smooth and infinitely better than any of the other mass effect games. Killing enemies is very satisfying in this game, as is moving around the battlefield (with the jetpack). The cover system takes some getting used to but it works pretty well. (++) Exploration. I absolutely adore the scanning tool and how big and open the planets are. It only loses a point because of that unnecessary zooming in and out and travel time between different planets (although, it does look awesome. lol). The JETPACK! That thing is amazing and I love maneuvering all around with that thing. (++) In-Game Character Customization (things like powers, armor, etc). I felt like the armors and weapons have a great variety so far and I'm looking forward to seeing more. Don't like only having 3 abilities at a time however, nor do I like that the middle power is LB+RB (I play on controller). So it loses a point in that regard. Things like casual outfits can have their colors changed... that's a nice touch. (++) The Tempest. I actually like it more than any of the normandys we've had. It is kinda small though. (++) Atmosphere. The story, music, setting, and visuals all feel very mass effecty to me. And it brings back the same wonder that ME1 had. Really enjoy this. (+) Companions. If it were not for Suvi and Kallo, however, this would have been just a (+/-). I love those two already and I've found I like Vetra as well. The others... not so much. I feel like Lexi and Cora may grow on me, but I'm highly disappointed that neither of them is romancable by FemRyder . Liam annoys me, with all his hate on the kett in the prologue mission on Habitat 7 . Didn't have enough interaction time with PeeBee to have an opinion. I think I may like her. (+) New Dialogue Wheel. Glad that the pick the blue option to win setup is gone. Let's you mold your character a bit more. (+/-) Nomad. It needs weapons. Otherwise, it's just a way to traverse the landscape. Not really all it was hyped up to be imo. (+/-) Enemy AI. Sort of your typical far when talking about the mobs you shoot up in video games. They didn't really seem all that smart or like they were using tactics or anything. Maybe because I was just playing on normal? (-) Inventory/Menus. This isn't explained all that well to the player imo and the menus all seem very cluttered and kind of a chore to search through to find what you're looking for. (-) Character Models. They look oddly plastic and cartoonish. I doubt this is the actual reason, but I blame the switch from Unreal to Frostbite. (--) Lack of Save Game Ability. I don't know the reasoning behind this, but not being able to save during a main story mission is pretty absurd. We don't always have time to complete an entire mission before having to shut down the game. (--) Enemies. The kett, to me, look like just a knockoff wannabe version of the Collectors and the remnant so far haven't excited me all that much. (---) Animations. Facial and Walking Specifically. The faces look pretty terrible when they are moving imo. Eyes look cold, movements look robotic, also clipping and jerking issues. Walking doesn't look fluid or natural when done by npcs. It looks like they are all posing in weird positions while they walk. (---) Character Creation. This is quite possibly one of the worst character creators I've seen in recent games. It feels like such a step back. It's very limiting in things such as skin tones being locked to certain presets, not being able to change eye types or eyebrows, not being able to change the base structure of your face, etc. The hair still looks like painted on helmets and the facial hair is atrocious. Add to that that you can't customize your look in game and the opening cutscene isn't skippable... and this is just unacceptable.

I will bite. I will black out after a few post on the forum today, since I don't want to be spoiled about stuff. I will however talk about my impressions from the 10 hour EE (or rather my 6 hours, since I didnt have time)
Presentation (++)
I think the intro is good and the presentation is good for both new and older players of the series. I felt curious about what was going on and I wanted to find out.
Character Creation (-)
What Character Creation ? one might ask. They might as well have just put up a few presets you could not change upon. I felt it hard making a character I liked and mostly so because "like myself" I wanted light skinned male with a beard and long hair (that is not possible and the beard models that are in are not even beards! it looks like someone rubbed dirt onto them. Most of the presents also look fairly dumb, as opposed to some of the chars in multiplayer.
Story (+++)
I actually found the story alright and I wanted to learn about what this new place would hold. I wanted to play more to learn about stuff! I don't want to write to much about it (no spoilers etc) But overall I liked it.
Companions (++)
Companions seems alright and tbh I have not played enough to expect more than I got! I wanted to learn more about my two companions, but have not had the chance yet (not played that long and don't want to until release)
Atmosphere (++)
I found the change of "systems" refreshing and I had a good vibe when I ventured onto the "planet" The visuals/sounds did alot for the general Atmosphere there.
Graphics (++)
I don't care much about GFX. I grew up with Atari and Commador 64. But I will say that I think the GFX was good looking.
Audio/music (++)
I liked it alot and I found that the music was what I would have expected from the series.
Dialogue wheel (+)
I think its simplistic and that its a sign upon that most games are "dumbed" down to be played on and by the console playerbase. I don't really think I have much of a choice and each respond would not really make sense all the time.
Animations (+)
I think its alright, but it does look abit emotionaless and stiff at times. I could have been alot better I guess, but not something that will haunt me.
Explorations (+)
Yes there is explorations and we might get alot more of it! But the exploration I did felt forced and I felt like my hands were held.
RPG Factor (+)
Sadly this game is not really a true RPG. The only thing that truely persist from the good old times are the story telling. I will explain more further below
Combat (+)
Much too fast paced and actions oriented for my taste. I mean this is not an RPG, not even a action RPG, this is a fast paced shooter with story telling.. The combat is not focused on being smart/tactical, but rather to exploit and spamming. I don't like it one bit. But its alright I guess, this is the development games are trending sadly.
Choices (+)
Did not see that any of my choices mattered yet, but they mmight later on (thus the one +) Auto Savegame (-)
Another example about how dev's cater to the console crowd. We are seeing a devolution in gaming atm and this is one of them. It makes no sense at all to not included saving other than automated checkpoints for a PC game in 2017... I wonder what happens when people start to get corrupted saves.
Abilities/skills system (+)
Utterly borring system and while it does suit the new fast paced shooter style without much RPG over it, I still think its garbage. The fact you can pick whatever you want and even respect makes it less of a choice. There is no consequences in games anymore.. There is no reason to adapt. It will also break my immersion. This is another example of new age gaming / console crowd influence in gaming, its sadly the evoltion since gaming became mainstream.
Overall impression after my 6 hours (++)
I gave this game a ++ overall and that is mostly because of the story and because its mass effect. If this had been another series, I might have put it down to a one + I think this game shows us what we can expect in the future. Less RPG elements, Less consequences, Less story/choices, more fast paced actions, instant glorification, simplistic gameplay. Its just the way of the world. The new age gamers have been spoon fed with this type of gamestyle since they started gaming and they are the loud majority sadly. I wish we had more RPG elements and much better choices, but that age is dead unless you support old style CRPG's by crowfunding. Big devs and pubs will cater to the console marked and younger generation.
