HAHA one of the best scenes I think(Spoiler warning)

every single person in this thread who has complained about this flirt, referred to it as amateur, stupid, worse than fanfiction, or whatever, is a gentleman

by comparison, the actual Suvi thread, which is staffed primarily but not entirely by ladies, adores how awkward it is

perhaps instead of "this content is bad" you may consider thinking "this content is not really aimed at me"

also there's a flirt that focuses more on her science stuff you can do instead, so seriously calm down

Exactly. It's not aimed at men like us. If it was me writing this then it would be a simple case of 'Hi, Suvi right? I'm Ryder we'll bang OK?'

Maybe it's just me, but the issue here isn't the silly tone of the dialogue, but rather the way it is presented. Both Suvi and Ryder remain locked in their neutral stances as Ryder cranes her neck over to deliver this fast-paced, awkward line and yet her face remains at a neutral expression.

The execution on this scene is BAD, "fanfiction" writing or not. Though the tone of the scene is meant to be comedic and naturalistic, but the flat presentation leaves the whole thing feeling stilted and awkward. And not in the "cute-awkward" way that the scene intends, but in a way more akin to someone telling a joke in a language that they don't fully understand.

So it's the animation causing the problem rather than the writing?
