This should serve as a warning to Bioware: If you're going to focus on open world content, you better make it work technically and narratively.

while it is largely subjective there is still an objective line, look at games like LoL or DotA, I don't like those games, they aren't my kind of game, I don't find them enjoyable yet i'd be a child to suggest they are 'bad' games, objectively they are good games.
Now I have only played the trial but it seemed, objectively, a solidly 'good' game. It just feels like this fundamental, perhaps even sub conscious, need to be cynical that's infected game reviews the last half decade or so.

Yeap I can't ever recall a metacritic score ever going up. It always holds or goes down a point or two.

I just remembered when Bioware applauded CDPR for Witcher 3, as if Bioware was the Boss, but now they aint.

They had supervision though, from some leads of Edmonton.
It'd have taken a little more positive ratings just by being delayed for a few months to fix some of the technical problems with the game.

Welp, this definitely changed my mind on buying it. Looks like the reviews mostly mentioned about the writing being inconsistent and there's a ridiculous amount of fetch quests which I absolutely hate. IGN did mention about the ending, which is good, because we all know what happened in ME3. However, it looks like Bioware actually regressed because the reviewer couldn't tell whether his decisions made any impact or that we would have different endings.

Not sure how the QA failed to identify these problems to allow so many reviewers to talk bad about these points.

They all brag about it like that, but in the end most work is done in the last 2 years, maybe less than that. Just like Uni thesis projects Lolz

So far the best score is from PC gamer tho. That's interesting, I expected ign and polygon to shill and it looks like they did a bit but the PC gamer article probably isn't shilling. Then again the other reviews are all terrible so eh. :lmfao:

Normally a 7 out of 10 is pretty good, but this year has had so many amazing games launched it's a barrage of games. I doubt MEA will sell very well.

Just woken up to this news in the UK. Devastating blow to the game..
