Since we are not locked into specific builds this time it would be neat/helpful to have a system that let us plan ahead--- something that would allow us to allocate points and experiment with builds/profiles to see what we might like or just to calculate what it would take to get there. There was something like this for Borderlands 2. bl2skills.com/siren.html#000000000000000000000000000000I don't know if it is possible for someone to make, due to the sheer number of options, but it would be really, really cool. Thoughts??

Thought is - you can earn unlimited skillpoints so you don't need a calculator as you can put as many points as you want into anything and even max out every single skill, it all just depends on how much of the side content you will explore.

Yes, it is possible to max everything out--- eventually. Even Ian Frazier said that it wasn't going to be possible the first run. I always do all the content that is possible, but that still probably isn't going to max out points in one run. I still think it'd be nice for those that like to plan, regardless of how many play-throughs they plan on doing. Not to mention, some people may not want/have time to play numerous play-throughs.

I mean just a little tool to plan and show off your build would be nice I guess, haven't come across any though.

Since singleplayer can get everything in due time, I don't see the overall value/need.
For multiplayer where skill points are finite and thus builds could matter, there's people working on it.

Well I think "having everything" is possible through NG+ only. Also even with a lot of point you still have a progression. So your build have to be viable with only 20 point or 100 or 400.

TheThirdRace is making a character builder for the MP, I would imagine it would work for SP too maybe not.

I see it like the dragon age games. During a play through you may get to be around lvl 20 or so, but by lvl 7-10 you really want to have a stable build up and running. Here I can imagine the same thing, your early points will matter more than by the time your lvl 60+. With a full on respec available though..a skill calculator doesnt seem required. After a few levels you can refund your skill points and play around with that and see what you can do before you commit points.
