So logging in this evening I noticed two new bits of gear specifically in the item story for mission funds only - Juggernaut Shield and Thermal Clip Storage.
Do these rotate daily? So the Item Store will cycle through different pieces of gear, weapons, and characters to give a chance of direct purchase for mission funds rather than rng through packs?

Item store will have stuff you can buy if you aren't lucky enough to get them in packs. Stock changes every now and then so you have to check it every now and then. Equipment I believe is store only though.

Thanks for clarifying - I wasn't aware of how the Item Store worked.

Equipment I believe is store only though. This isn't true according to a tool tip on a loading screen. It explicitly says that Gear will never drop in packs and only be available to purchase for Mission Funds. That the first two are available for limited time would lead me to think they'll rotate stock every couplish weeks.

But at some point they mentioned you can also buy things like guns in it. So the idea was that if you weren't lucky and couldn't get it in a pack you could buy it in the store. Don't know if kits will also be included.

I actually missed the last sentence of what you wrote, the start of it wasn't something that I've seen anywhere, and it jumped out to me as "Wait, that's totally not how it works."

If you inspect the gears in the store, it tells you how long they're available for. One of them said available for 20 days, the other said available for 13 days. Seems like things will rotate in and out. I bought the thermal clip gear and it's not available in my store any more. Not sure what that means as far as gear levels go.

And while we're on it, looks like mission funds are a scarce resourse, what would you recommend spending them early on? I've hired my second strike team for 40 funds I believe and now Im thinking what to invest next, currently I have 60 funds, I might save them for the juggernaut shield gear (altough shields got nerfed hard by the looks of it, long gone are the days of having >1k shields, let alone a kroguard with 1.8k barriers)

As far as strike teams, I've mostly rolled mission funds back into new teams, and I have four teams right now. It feels like a good number. In the app I've pretty much always got a team ready when a mission comes up, but at the same time they're not sitting around idle very much. I might eventually buy another team, or some strike team gear, not sure yet. I should easily be able to afford the juggernaut shield before it expires, though, and have some extra for whatever else shows up.

Agreed, I've got three teams at the moment and about 180 in missions funds. I'd say 3-4 teams would be a good way to get a steady supply of funds going.

What exactly are the Thermal Clip gear and Juggernaut Shield gear?
Consumables? Boosters? Strike Team upgrades?

So seems to be related the console versions then. As for the other topic, I only have two teams and seem to be able to clear all the missions if I do the ones I can manually. Will get 4 so I don't need to micro it as much.
