Just saw this on Gamasutra, don't know if it's been posted already, but might be interesting for those of you who're more technical-minded (sorry it's not a tweet but figured it fits anyway?):
Haven't watched it myself yet, though. *returns to lurking*

Nice find! It's okay to post something like that here, but in the future, probably better to just make a new thread.

Inquisitor: Is that innuendo? Sera: No, it's at the front!
I like reading stuff like that because there are a lot of people who love Solas and Bull. And then they highlight the apparent depth of a chess game with such sympathy and compassion that I'm like...huh. It was just a chess game to me but maybe, after all, it actually was more.

It definitely needs to be more reliable/regular somehow... I get that they want to pace it out enough that you don't have chatty companions for 2 hours, then 6 hours of silence.
I wouldn't mind seeing one of the banter triggers being when you idle for say... 2 full minutes or so (non-paused). Right now the banter is supposed to trigger every 15-20 min. IIRC. Combat and other interruptions can mess with that though.
I don't see this as being a great solution! How many times have I been distracted by a phone call or a person wanting to talk to me while I'm playing, or even just a bio break? I'd hate for the banter to trigger right when I am afk for stuff.
I know there was a way to pause the game in combat, but I don't recall there being a way to pause it while I was just exploring - other than by opening the journal or world map or something like that. When something needs my attention right away - like a person or a phone call - I don't think to open the journal before removing my attention from the game. I think I would miss a lot of banters if they set them to go off when you idle for two minutes!
Entering tactical camera mode also pauses the game automatically even if you're not in combat, so if you normally play over the shoulder just spin the mouse wheel and you should be good to go. You can also assign a key to pause the game in the options; someone else mentioned Ctrl is the default, but I changed mine to space bar to match all of my other games. (Seriously, Bioware, I've been hitting the space bar to pause for 15+ years, I'm not changing now just so I can fail at jumping!) Not sure how it works if you're a console player, but I would hope there's a similar system.
I hope we can name saves again in DA4, as we could with both DAO and 2. At one point, I had to write down the time stamps of some DAI saves, and what the save was for, so I could keep track. >.<

Yeah, I don't even care if the number of saves is limited, as long as I can name them. I make a lot of extra saves that I won't need once the current quest is finished. If they're named, I know which ones I can safely overwrite later.
Patrick Weekes @patrickweekes Who's that? Is that one of the templars from Haven? Or wait, is that Cassandra with a modded face? Gender-modded Varric?

Well, he is right about her being modded.

Okay, I know I shouldn't admit this but... what if say, a person - could be anyone - finds Scout Harding boring and doesn't really want to see them again? Do they get stoned or thrown in a pit with ravenous nugs?

No, but I think you may find yourself outvoted

So, I recall thinking DA4 would be Spring 2018. But recent obscure tweets in this thread seem to indicate that is too early.
Anthem just says "2018" as a release date. And we've actually gotten a trailer. So I suppose we could assume it will get the Spring slot.
Does it have to be 1 year tween each game? So spring 2019?
Anthem got pushed back to fall 2018 around the same time it was announced. DA4 I think will be mid-to-late 2019 at the earliest. I hope it doesn't go too far beyond that, which would already be 5 years since DAI release.

I thought they were against admitting a game existed until 6 months prior to release. But Anthem gets a full year + lead up?

It's a new IP. I assume they want to stimulate interest in the game. Hence the early announcement.

I think it's because it's a brand new ip, it needs more marketing to get people interested. Whereas Dragon Age already has an established base and they can spread hype like wildfire. So it doesn't need as much time to generate interest. If Bioware turned around tomorrow and announced DA4 was being released in a month, twitter would be a blaze and soooooooo many youtube videos would be made. Most probably announcement reaction videos of people screaming.
