There is a "Dragon Age" project happening. It is not confirmed as the fourth main game in the series. Many sites have run with the rumor.

I'm a designer so I didn't have to worry how it worked, I just had to weep at programmers 'til they fixed it for me.

Random hilarity is one of the reasons I love Bioware games. Whoever decided we needed an animation of the barbarians launching a goat(?) at Skyhold deserves a medal.

To add to this... as much as I wouldn't care for a tactics game, it's important to keep in mind that Mark said HE wasn't working on one. There's nothing to say some other people, and a 3rd party studio, aren't working on one.

If it was only about some players liking different types of games, I wouldn't care as much. The only reason I don't want one is because there would invariably be some plot related things in it, and who knows how it would tie into DA4. In that case, I would feel obligated to play it. I never did finish The Last Court, but the relevance of that was spare even if there were some interesting bits related to Morrigan. I don't have such confidence with a full-blown tactics game. The way they're continuing to use ancillary materials to expand the franchise beyond the core games isn't appealing to me, but I'm consuming them because I feel I have to to get the most out of it. It doesn't make me happy, but Dragon Age is the ONLY franchise I will do this for.
