Off topic tea discussion: Gods, no, a lot of Canadians at least here in the west seem to be using one specific blend of packaged tea, the Red Rose, and its terrible. Seems to be something their parents grew up with in like... WW2 or whatever. I love tea myself, but I drink it since childhood diluted by hot water to taste from the brewing pot where I steeped the leaves. I think most people who do not like tea never bother to adjust it, and just try maximum strength by throwing a bag into a mug or something. The basic brown tea drank by my husband is not very sensitive. Hot water in a pot, thrown onto multiple bags in a jug. Add cold water to level. He never bothers removing the bags. Tastes like...tea. But other Teas have temperature limits. I've steeped a White far too long and it made it bitter. When I have HERBAL tea, I bring water to a boal. Add it to my cast iron ceramic tea pot. Wait a few moments. Then add the wire mesh with my goodies in it to the pot. As soon as the color pours strong, I remove the wire mesh for later for a possible second steeping. But these sorts of teas come from online or a Teavana store and are quite pricey. Smell divine, though. I've even enjoyed a herbal green mix<- the closest to true tea I've ever enjoyed. But yeah... most Americans go my husband's route, with the indestructible dirt in a bag tea they can do anything to. I generally prefer green to black nowadays, and I don't normally drink herbal teas. I did try some teas in Teavana, but tbh, I like green or black leaf with jasmine from wholesale Asian supermarkets the most. I don't pass myself for a connoisseur, just saying that folks imo would like it more if they took time to steep and customize the strength of the drink, is all. |

Aaaa... what your husband does to tea T_T Black tea has some temperature/brewing limits as well (sometimes depending on type). Steeping black tea leaves for longer than 3-5 minutes in water changes its taste to more bitter and the astringent effect is more pronounced - I do see people not being aware of it, which is probably the reason why they either don't like tea or require copious amounts of sugar/sweetener to drink it. What's more, bagged tea can become bitter way faster than loose tea, because tiny leaf particles will steep faster than bigger leaves. If people don't like bitter tea, but at the same time don't really care about measuring temperature or time, they probably should stick to loose tea. And yes, you can 'burn' white AND green tea which is why it becomes bitter if steeped in too high temperature or for too long. Remember kids - don't abuse your tea! |

Fun fact: in the late 80s/early 90s the ad campaign for Red Rose Tea had the slogan "Red Rose Tea. Only in Canada... Pity!" but this was a SPURIOUS LIE. We moved from Canada to Jamaica in 1991 and they had Red Rose Tea there, too. I grew up drinking tea (lots of Red Rose) in eastern Canada but my Mom, who is Dutch, would habitually put milk in it. As a result, I still drink it with milk, which takes away the bitterness. I used to load it up with sugar, too, but haven't put any sweetener in for about 20 years now. |

The hardness of the water (amount of calcium carbonate in it) can also affect the tea. You need a different blend for "hard" water to that used with "soft" water. So over here you need a different blend of tea on Exmoor (soft water) to the South Downs (hard) water. Well, that's how it used to be in the good old days, ha, ha. With modern filtering and water recycled umpteen times it probably doesn't make that much difference in the U.K. anymore. Haven't a clue about anywhere else.

I think they've indirectly admitted to tweaking battle mechanics. (I hope they remove weapon class restrictions so you can hold anything, you just suck at it. ) but that wouldn't be new. Making a hybrid between Hawke's writing desk and the War Table...but that wouldn't necessarily be a new feature. Even if they added in lots of Crystal Projection chats (which seemed kinda dumb even in MEA) this wouldn't be a new feature. So what can be a totally new feature in Dragon Age 4? |

There were some earlier posts about Alix Wilton Regan saying she's voicing an angry elf. People thought she's doing DA4 and she denied it. No it isn't DA4. It's Divinity Original Sin 2. I'm playing a female elf and thought the voice was very familiar. It then struck me ; Inquisitor!  |

She was also in Divinity Dragon Commander as a rather naive but good-hearted elven princess that you can marry. (I've been watching the cutscenes the past couple of days.) Harry Hadden-Paton, the British male Inquisitor, also voiced three different characters: an insufferably brilliant but bigoted lizardman general, an imp engineer and an ultra-religious talking skeleton. Amusingly, there's a bit where the undead character advocates for the use of torture by the undead "Inquisition." He also campaigns to allow the undead to keep giant bears as pets. Blackwall's voice actor (Alastair Parker) also pops up as one of your generals, Lord Henry, and the main villain, Corvus. (His voice is heavily modified in the latter case.) |
