Buy advanced until max all rares.
Buy highest level for ultra rares.

With character cards giving extra skill points, it's definitely better to go for the cheaper packs. Max those, and use those characters with their leveled up weapons/mods/equipment etc, to unlock the next higher tier of loot/characters.

I've just been sticking with the basic packs, have all the common weapons at X and some of the characters at IX. Also I've been sticking with a character instead of bouncing around to work on the bonus skill stats and to help the matches go smoother since everyone is at the beginning with not much in the way of gear and levels.
Edit:
From what I've seen weapons drop more than characters and weapon mods drop the least in terms of what I've unlocked.

From what I've seen weapons drop more than characters and weapon mods drop the least in terms of what I've unlocked. I've unlocked about 48 weapon cards and 51 character cards at this point. So it has been about the same for me, at least. That said, there's more common characters than weapons, so that changes the dynamic. |

You play better, you get more stuff, virtuous circle. |

Just because I'm doing that it still might take me a while - if the store trolls me I'll let you know in a few months.  With the number of silver extractions required for one premium pack I can only realistically buy one per day. Edit: just bought today's - no luck... oh well try again tomorrow. |

The Angara Avenger is the second character I'm after as the Shadow was my favourite in ME3.  I didn't realise Avenger Strike was pretty much the same as Shadow Strike until watching a video of it today. Let's hope we all unlock rank 1 of the UR characters sooner rather than later! Very cheeky of bioware to lock them behind ur status. |

Anyone know the max inventory limit for supplies? I recall it was 255 in ME3. I would max out supplies to cut down on duplicates on the more expensive packs later and was hoping that strategy works here.

The 4 basic consumables now come individually instead of groups of 5 (or 2) like it was in ME3. I got plenty of ammo level 1 though. |
