While some improvements that people are asking for are completely acceptable requests, a lot of them like changing the Character Creator around, completely redesigning all the GUIs, or removing universal slowdown from multiplayer, could take significant time.
But I feel there are some things that should be pretty easy that will have significant payoffs throughout the game
Map - Return to the normal view (rather than main menu) when exiting the map. When going into the map either remember the previous level of zoom (best) or default to maximum zoomed in. People will be using this a lot as they explore the world, it needs to be really slick. Another possibility is a mini-map, or an overlay map, but I'm not convinced these will be as useful or as easy.
Save game mechanics - The game engine seems capable of saving at almost anytime (as there is a cheat to do it) yet it is quite often disabled and I am unsure why. Unless I am missing something this should be opened up as much as possible. It is well and good to make things challenging, but there are other less annoying ways to do that, especially when the game isn't completely stable and you may have to reload because of a bug.
Skipping dialogue - This should be done with a single press, not two. Whenever possible cut-scenes should be skippable.
Picking up items - First of all let me say I think the idea to add so many items to the game was a mistake, but lets run with what they have. There needs to be an option to simply pick up everything without changing the screen and making the user click again. You can give a notification the way when you grab some minerals so the player see what they have. It's especially annoying when it cuts off voice dialogue. If there is a maximum inventory level (thank god I haven't hit this) it needs to be abolished immediately. The game is tedious enough as it is, the last thing I want is to have to start worrying about inventory management near the end of a mission.
Interplanetary travel - This might be slightly more contentious as a few (my guess is around 10%) like it but I believe this needs an option to be cut. It is extremely tedious and should just zoom in and out of planets in the same fashion as ME2 and ME3.
Why can we not Hot key consumables??? In Multiplayer we can, but in Single Player we have to pause the game to use shield boosters, ammo etc
Is there anyway of changing the activate console key away from ~? This isn't a big issue but I've hit it accidentally in combat a couple of times now and wiped both times.
Biotic explosions - I really miss the rewarding sound of when a combo is executed. The game knows when a combo is executed and gives you a notification, by adding a sound they can get rid of the visual clutter.
I'm sure some more things will occur to me but I am curious what other people think of these suggestions. They are mainly about making the gameplay a smoother experience.

I just want the galaxy map transitions to be a toggle.
I actually really love doing them myself - I just view it as pointless after a while if one doesn't like looking at it. It shouldn't be used as padding.

Too bad they used the Dialogue Wheel mechanic from DA:I. It doesn't have the dial on PC like the trilogy and it is too animated and slow (which actually affects the pace of dialogue) and skipping is the way it was in Inquisition.
Also, for the love of god, fix double-clicking on PC. It's fuckign annoying when I'm trying to examine a weapon but if I'm already on it and i click it selects it instead of waiting for a timer and double click.
Coloring my armor is also a complete clusterfuck on pc.

I am enjoying the game but find it very hard on the eyes. Would it be hard to make the font bigger and maybe not coloured. I am doing a lot of squinting

I'd also like to be able to turn off autosave. They seem to rotate between 4 save files only moments apart - at times some of them have exactly the same timestamp, down to the second. The frequency with which they're dumping data to my hard drive is a little unsettling. I prefer to manage my own game saves.

Looks amazing the first 10 times and then its ugh.

I just wish they didn't have to zoom in on Asteroids and such, just probing that stuff from a distance should require no loading screen. It does look amazing though.

What is there to load?

It comes down to artistic choices I guess. Short of a toggle for everything, that's how it is, and I reckon you'd get as many complaints about taking it away.

Hold on.... the biotic boom is gone??!?! Please tell me this is a joke. Combat/MP was the only thing I was still looking forward to. But without any satisfying sound for the combos, this is a SERIOUS letdown as well. As ridiculous as it sounds, but this is now the biggest disppointment of the entire game for me prior to release. The amazing sound effects were a huge part of what made ME3 so much fun to play for me. So, no satisfying biotic boom, no synergy with your squadmates because you can't control what they do... this sounds like another gimped combat for biotics like ME2 where you were forced to shoot 90% of the time because cooldowns were super long. Please, someody tell me biotics are still satisfying. As in, don't need to use your gun at all glorious like the ME3 vanguard/adept.

Yeah, I keep hearing about combat lacking impact... But I didn't know they removed the biotic booom which is my favorite game sound of all time, silly as that is. I fell so in love with it, its absence will be felt every second. It wasn't until ME3 that I even cared about such things as gun sounds. The sound design in the trilogy was really amazing. I loved all the different sounds the weapons had. Loved the thud of the Talon, or the Scorpio's projectiles. Oh man... why, Bioware Montreal? You made ME3MP, FFS!

No need for loading, same as any planet in the OT. Maybe when you arrive at a planet like Eos where you can land, there is a bit of pre-loading so that you can land seamlessly as advertised?

Absence of Saves atm is what I think will make me prefer MP for a few days until I know if it were fixed. It is too stresful to play SP w/o. If we have to, I will, but I can wait for a patch if they are adding them back in.

Can't save there.

First time poster here, but been playing the ME series since ME:1 came out, and I've got over 200 hours into each of the previous 3 games, so I do have a good baseline for how I expect things to work or not work. I am a PC type, so some of my gripes may not be applicable to console users. That said, I am about 10 hours into this game (And I'm only just now arriving on EOS because I like to look in every nook and cranny before moving on... this *is* a Bioware game after all.) and I have a few gripes. They follow in no particular order of severity. The map, 1 key to open, other keys to close it. Squadmate orders. Why get rid of that? Ditto for squadmate equipment. The entire planet scanning sequence. Why oh why does it take so long to do such a simple task? I have to buy a default weapon? (Made a soldier, no sniper rifle, had to buy my first one.) Having to hold down the 'use' key is driving me batty. I am not far enough into the game to give it any sort of rating for story or overall gameplay. I like the faster combat, but I do miss being able to pause mid-combat and have a look at what I have in front of me. (Or flanking me, as the new AI likes to do...) Heck, I'm being fairly restrictive on what thread I will read here to avoid having too much spoiled. As such, What I know thus far is: colony is screwed, need new planets, go make em viable, don't get killed by the Scourge or the Kett. I don't even think I know who the main antagonist is yet.
