I did make it to Nexus through the emotional scene with Ryder-Dad. I actually felt it more than Carver/bethany and Mom-Hawke. I guess, it's not just Dad, it's the Ultimate Sacrifice that really gets you.
Ryder really reminds me of Shepard now, and it's a good thing.
Then, I sort of just dove in MP. I can't help it, I just like running and gunning :) Well, I also holding out for any news on Save-when-you-want patch.

I finally got around to the initial chats with everyone on the Tempest. It really would have been better to have those talks *before* landing on and making any progress on Eos, but that wasn't possible. All they have to say is, "I'm busy, come back later." Since once at Eos, the game spits you outside already, I had no reason to think heading right back on to the ship was a valid action to take. Not when everything is such a mess when you get there.
On the other hand, waiting until everything was taken care of avoided the bug some people have mentioned about Peebee and Drack being talked about before you even meet them.
Now back at the Nexus, ready for more running around. Also need to pick up my new pet pyjak. I think I'll call him Perry, in honor of Mordin.

Rolph's father, the old pathfinder dead. Sad, but was expectable, this is the fate of many Bioware family member. (But: why he inherited his father's profession and position? Just I was, who found that weird? No problem, the Inquisitor got a full army just because accidentally s/he caught a ball...) So: some screenshots: Rolph Ryder, biotics Hmm. Handsome old man ...holding the world in his hand: Let's see what happens when I put my hand here... We did it! They look angry. Probably do not like migrants Father? ... Let's see, what we have?

Finally managed to get screenshots going,YAY! Other than that, save for a bit of the MP, I have managed to start talking to people on the New Citadel, found out how bad things are, and initiated the Easter Egg Hunt for SAM's/Dad's mysteries. So far, so good. Just wondering when I finally get to meet Scott :) Tishujen Ryder:

I ran over lots of Kett and random wildlife with the Nomad. Seriously love doing that. I also like to take swipes at Fiends with the Nomad, though I'm cautious because a Fiend can knock the Nomad over and won't get killed. Still fun.

Met with the...uh...Angara? Seriously need more exposition and consistency in the dialogues. It went from A to Z flat out; who wrote this? Now the stupid game is perpetually loading ... something after the cutscene. *heavy sigh* Bioware, you have truly FU. First Bioware game that doesn't go smooth for me on the first run. Force close the game and doing a repair now. If the SP doesn't run, I'm not even going to try very hard to get it to. I'll just play the MP.

Walked into a level 4 electrical hazard by accident. I also founded the Angarans an outpost. The viability is currently 100%. I also discovered the Archon's motivations. The hazard was located at the core of the Remnant vault on Voeld. You don't see the level 4 hazard until you walk into it. Looked like a light from far away. Archon is the leader of a cult. His followers did not join the cult willingly. They were abducted and indoctrinated into joining the cult. The Kett are doing genetic manipulation on the species of the galaxy. It's hinted they'll get around to altering the Milky Way species in time, unless you stop Archon. The Kett themselves are actually genetically altered Angaran. T hey are indoctrinated to follow Archon without question. He sees himself as a God.
I also took out some of his lieutenants. One of them was the Kett Cardinal.
The Kett story started off a bit slow as unknowns. It eventually builds to be kind of mind blowing after learning what they're really doing. I also ran into this huge mob called the Remnant Architect which is an outdoor world boss. Although I'm going to wait until Voeld finishing unthawing before attempting to fight it properly. I tried it earlier, but there is a level 2 cold hazard in the area where it's located. Kind of hard to fight it like that.

Trial - Played up to the first Remnant tower on Eos, then time ran out. I took a lot of time to figure out graphical options, read Codex, tinker with CC, do all content (so this meant Nexus sidequests, fully explore Tempest).
Recently - Restarted the game, seeing if it'd be better after driver and game updates. It is, but not quite enough for my liking. Played up to the Nexus. A little annoyed I missed a tiny bit on Habitat 7 - my inner completionist cried out. But I did all that was actually noteworthy.
Today - Did the whole first visit to the Nexus and moved on. Tempest explored, Galaxy Map explored, onward to Eos. Completed all the content I did on the Trial, but also moved on to do some sidequests in the area. I'm Lv 5 or so.
Soon - Hopefully I can get the main story on Eos done, maybe some more. I know there's some gating there and that's okay.

Now I'm stuck on one of the angara planets, starts with the letter H. Went into the ravine, went into the vault, found the sages and then....stuck. Can't find a way out of that ravine at the bottom, kept going into the vault. One way route, can't get to the next FT point. P.S. Nvm, found the bridge. P.S. II *waves* to Taavos. Hi Javik...you sure sound like Javik. If you're him, can I have Javik back pls?

I just finished up that part myself. Definitely sounded like Javik. Not as much of a troll though.
I'm still sad I can't name my pyjak, or find different colors for my outfits. Seriously, why am I limited to black, red, and white? Is there some second control I'm not seeing that lets you move around the circle instead of just inside the triangle? This is really bugging me.

Try double or triple clicking on a color on the wheel that surrounds the triangle.

Put down a colony on Eos, then ran about mining the marked zones. It seems like the zones stay on the map after they've been tapped out, might be a bug, unless I can just come back later and they respawn their resources or some such. Also walked right up to some of those scourge tentacles on the surface and didn't realize my life support was dropping. Was dead in seconds. Good thing I save often.

Use the directional keys to turn the major colours in the circle, then use the cursor inside the triangle to determine the mix, how light / dark it goes. I can forgive Josie for scribbling while talking to the Inq; she can scribble nonsense and it's not going to hurt. Suvi? Do you have eyes in your hands or something? wtf are you punching on your console while talking to Ryder? *shakes head* Come on. Someone talks to you, you stop what you're doing and pay attention to that person unless you're showing disinterest / avoidance / discourtesy / focus on present task (in which case you look at what you're doing, not look at the other person while your hands wander). Stop with this idiotic idle animation while dialogue is going on already Bioware.

Ok, I am a sneaky Infiltrator, so don’t mind if I just hide at the back and snipe stuff from 100 meters away… OMG, OMG, get away you big lizards, stop stealthing around in packs and ambushing me from behind.
Ah, a jungle planet, let’s scan away. Hmm, never saw creatures shown with white outlines on the scanner before…Wait, those are THOSE bloody lizards, let’s shoot them! Oops, why can’t I see them anymore… Epiphany reached – the scanner shows stealthed enemies! Can we shoot with an active scanner? No, damn. Where are those lizards… ah yeah – they are humping my leg again!!! Yes, game, I am pressing E to free myself, thank you for notifying me.
Oh, I can mod stuff and I have mods available. Let us see. Wait, this mod right here…does it do what I think it does based on the dscription? Let’s find out! Back to Eos, everyone. Let’s park about 150 meters or so from that Kett outpost. Cora, Peebee, play some chess or whatever it is Asari chicks do when they slack off. Now, sniping one unsuspecting Kett. Look at them all running behind cover. Yeah, guys, stay completely hidden behind that cover. You are absolutely safe since those walls are about 0.5 meters thick. Completely safe. And don’t move because I will see if you do - thanks to my Infiltrator ability to see everyone even through walls. Now, I will just take out my Black widow III sniper rifle with a tiny mod that says it adds 1.08 meters bullet penetration. You all still hidden well behind those 0.5 meters? Good. <Headshot, headshot, headshot, headshot, headshot> Cora, Peebee, turn off the Solitaire on your omni tools, it is looting time.
Ice planet? I hate ice planets! Can’t stand the cold. Wait, which species didn’t like the cold too? Ah, right, Vetra, Drack, suit up, I hate suffering alone! Time to explore blizzards.

Or pretending to write with the quill stuck to her desk. Shame on you, Suvi! The pathfinder's talking to you and you're not giving your full attention! Some of the animations annoy me in MEA. For example, the first time Sara sees the Tempest land on the Nexus' docking bay, her "awed" and "amazed" expressions are messed up. 🤦🏻♀️

I kindda tried to do the scanning quest on the Nexus, but i've forgotten what you are supposed to do when the sort of search field thinggie with tripple concentric circle starts beeping. So, maybe I go do something else. :) EDIT: Oh, apparently just had to keep scanning. Heh.

Anyway, I just finished that quest and murder investigation, and took off in the Tempest :) Think I am gonna love Vetra, Suvi has one of those irritating voices, and made up for a night of picking clients in a sleazy part of town. Everyone else is fine, but why can't I take Vetra in the squad right away? Oh, well, boring humans it is.

Try double or triple clicking on a color on the wheel that surrounds the triangle. Use the directional keys to turn the major colours in the circle, then use the cursor inside the triangle to determine the mix, how light / dark it goes. Thanks for the suggestions - will try them out next time I load up the game. Seriously, why did they make something that should be simple so goddamn hard to figure out?! Why can't I just pick a color and move on like before? why can't I take Vetra in the squad right away? Oh, well, boring humans it is. You pick squadmates in the "load out" screen, at the same time you pick your weapons. It's very unintuitive and easy to miss. I swear they took all the simple things from ME and turned them into a nightmare of twists and turns for no reason.
Anyway, there are icons at the top for weapons, armor, consumables, and squadmates. When squadmates are pulled up, the two in your current party will be there. Click on the one you want to replace and then pick someone new.

I've landed on Habitat 7 and found two others of the team, but I'm going in and out of the game playing with the graphics settings. I don't mind the framerate I get on ultra, but I noticed my GPU temperature was sticking to the mid-80s, and I'd like for it to run a little cooler. I've got a GTX 980Ti and I had a similar problem. All I had to do was reduce the screen resolution to 1280 x 800 and that seemed to fix it. Everything is still set to ultra it just doesn't put undue stress on the GPU and the three cooling fans Hope it helps.

Can I ask how hot yours is running with the resolution reduced?

I finished exploring the first vault, and then established a science outpost on Eos. Addison offered a handshake, and I'm pleased that I got to be a little bit rude right back to her. I totally refused that handshake, and then I expressed suspicion of her motives! Yeah! Sure showed her!
Going back to the Nexus revealed some new areas, though Scott is still out cold unless I'm missing something. After flirting with Vetra, I've decided that, based on my sample size of two whole turians, getting flustered by romantic overtures is just a turian thing. Anyway, she and Peebee are the only ones that interest me right now as LI's, though I have yet to meet Jaal, so we'll see.
