Wow had forgotten that trailer, if only they'd stuck with some of those graphics. Eeeeh, it's CGI trailer. Ofcourse they couldn't have stuck with same graphics. I meant more the graphics of things like the Vault Pillars etc. not the quality etc.

Speaking of the old trailers: I still wonder what Liam's 'Laser Shells' Augment from the weapons briefing was supposed to be. It seens distinctive from the Beam augment that we got in the game, though the sound is at least similar Video Link:

Did you watch all of the "orientation videos" and get the Andromeda Elite Helmet? I like that helmet a lot. I always use it on new characters. If I could craft upgrades, I'd probably use it even longer.

I got the Elite Helmet and used it early on but not for many PT's now. I use only the Heleus and Pathfinder armours. Transmog would be good in MEA.

The helmet was a reward for following all the marketing vids, so you must've completed them. Transmog is always welcome. The armors in MEA look amazing, though, so I'm never really displeased with my look.

So I attempted to do H-047c last night, but failed to beat the Progenitor because I was too underleveled with not good enough equipment, so I reloaded an earlier save. I will do it later when I have more talent points invested and some better equipment.
Anyway, on to today. 1. Steve Ryder went with Jaal to confront Akksul and get some of his family back. Shot Akksul when he threatened Jaal.
2. Went to Kadara. Purchased some snacks for movie night. Help an Angaran find her (dead) sister. Bought alcohol for Kesh. Investigated Spender. Found evidence of Kett and took them out.
3. Went back to the Nexus and investigated Spender's apartment. Found a scrambler. Gave it to a comms expert to analyze it.
4. Went to Eladaan. Scanned some scavengers for Lexi. Helped Drack recover a stolen transport. Dropped Aroane. Gave some serum to a scavenger.
5. Went back to the Nexus, confronted Spender then exiled him.
6. Went to Kadara. Got into a bar fight with Drack (we won). Investigated some missing cargo with Reyes, but it turned out to be a trap to kill Reyes. Helped Reyes kill his would-be assassins. Investigated the Three Sabers hideout and found they were originally armed and funded by the Nexus. Confronted Addison about it and agreed to keep the information hidden. Went to a party with Reyes.
7. Went to Voeld and talked to some resistance fighters. Helped some resistance fighters who faked a civilian ship crash take out some Kett. Disabled some bombs that the Kett were going to use to blow up a bridge. Found a meteorite that was interfering with communications. Neutralized the meteorite and decided to leave it on Voeld. Found some Remtech for Peebee. Found the Perephona's transponder.
8. Met Peebee in her apartment. Some asshole named Kalinda also dropped by.
9. Found the Asari ark. Fought off The Decimation (bunch of pushovers). Kept Sarissa's decision a secret and she remains pathfinder.
10. Had fun with Peebee in the escape pod.

Steve Ryder: 1. Went back to Aya and did a bunch of smaller tasks: learned about laws, dealt with an issue related to the Angaran "Vesaal" (told the ambassador to work with the Aya governor about a solution), forwarded messages to the Nexus, spoke to some Angarans about living on the Nexus (did not convince any of them).
2. Went to Eos. Rescued some workers from messing with the Remnant. Scanned some emergency muster sites, then found survivors in a shuttle in space.
3. Went back to the Nexus to wake some people from cryo.
4. Went back to Eos. Started some of the RNG and scan-a-thon quests. Recovered some Remtech for Peebee. Rescued Danny from Kett. Placed the first seismic hammer. Rescued Danny from the Remnant. Placed a pendant. Rescued Danny from bugs. Found Kett orbital caches.
5. Went to Havarl and picked up more Remtech for Peebee.
6. Went to Kadara to pick up another Remtech piece for Peebee, but it was already gone. Started some of the RNG quests. Went to go buy the Remtech piece back, but Kalinda somehow got on board the Tempest and stole Peebee's bot, leaving the Remtech piece in exchange. Reached level 31.
7. Crafted new weapons and armor.
8. Went to H-047c. Killed a bunch of mercs and Remnant, and started a Remnant tiller for mining Helium-3.
9. Went with Vetra to rescue some missing settlers, but got caught in a trap. With Sid's help, killed the mercs and rescued the settlers.
10. Reported the stolen satellites to the Angaran on Aya. Lied and said it was Roekkar that did it.

Steve Ryder: 1. Went to Eladaan. Activated a monolith. Found a mini Remnant vault and recovered a Remnant data core along with some other things. Recovered Peebee's bot. Started the Little Mouse quest. Activated a second monolith. Scanned and collected another edible plant.
2. Recovered some missing supplies for the Resistance. Found the missing supplier (dead) and missing supplies for a trader on Aya. Helped a sniper, then recruited him for the Resistance. Found another edible plant. Recovered a map for a mechanic, then recruited him for the Resistance.
Still need to edit together a video of some gameplay.

Very little today. Steve Ryder went with Peebee to recover some special Remtech. Kalinda tried to take it before Peebee could. Killed Kalinda and took the tech. (For some reason, I keep typing "Trevor Ryder" instead of "Steve Ryder" when I start writing these posts and I have no idea why.) Finally got around to editing and posting some videos. In case anyone is interested:

Ubisoft wasn't playing so jumped back into my Sara MEA PT, landed on Kadara and played nice with Sloane but poor old Vhen's head will end up on a spike. That's something I haven't done before in 20+ PT's) but his attitude back on Aya pisses me off. So now he won't be there.
Spoke to Reyes and said I'd look into the murders and told some guy I'd find Remi Tomayo which I did and killed the Cannibal scum that had her captive.
Started a Monolith and that was it.

What difficulty level was it? God Jaal's VA is terrible. This was one of my PT's on Insanity doing the extraction level.

Steve Ryder on Kadara: 1. Delivered a message from someone in jail to his supposed Asari girlfriend. The Asari was not amused. 2. Activated a monolith. 3. Recovered Dr. Nakamoto's formula. 4. Collected another edible plant. 5. Found some Cerberus scientists who were expirementing on exiles, then dealt with them by turning their own research on them. 6. Scanned enough weapons caches to locate their intended destination. Took out the outlaw encampment before they could attack Podromos. 7. Rescued a wrongly-banished exile from cannibals. 8. Found enough datapads to locate the guy who set up the Collective and Outcasts. Everyone was dead, Ryder got the spoils. 9. Found the Collective hideout and helped them find a mole. 10. Found the baryte surveyor. He was dead. 11. Activated the other two monoliths. l2. Activated Kadara's vault.
Steve Ryder on Eladaan: 1. Went the location provided by an exile and killed Axius. Found some shuttle parts. 2. Started scanning Remnant data caches (RNG quest). 3. Recovered more medical supplies. 4. Activated the third monolith. 5. Finished recovering the medical supplies. 6. Collected the final edible plant. 7. Found the scientiest that needed the shuttle part.

I have deviated from the build slightly, partly out of necessity. I switched out Shotgun rank 6 melee synergy for the extra weapon damage, so I could take out the Progenitor on H-407c a little easier. I have also been using the Remnant Cryo Gauntlet for melee instead of the Asari Sword. I do intend to respec at some point to align with your stated build and use the Asari Sword. Also I do not have enough Reaction Optimizers for all my equipment. It will probably take me about an hour of running back and forth on the Nexus to get enough of them. I know the Vanguard variant would be nigh unkillable (I had used Charge + Annihilation Field + Nova on my Vanguard which was just bonkers). The Sentinel variant still has to run at enemies while getting shot at.

I know the Vanguard variant would be nigh unkillable (I had used Charge + Annihilation Field + Nova on my Vanguard which was just bonkers). The Sentinel variant still has to run at enemies while getting shot at. I tinkered with it last time I played. I swapped Barrier 5b (Biotic Alacrity) for 5a (Biotic Link). It was a max level character, so I couldn't detect a difference. I suspect it would add durability to most characters. At lower levels, 6b (Saving Barrier) is probably better than 6a (Active Barrier). On a higher level character, the difference isn't big, so I like the shield regen of 6a. My favorite moments are when enemy fire is so heavy that I'm forced to kill one or two at range before dashing into the churn. I love how the build is dependent upon aggressive play to keep it looping. It's great against all enemies other than big bosses. Even there it's still pretty good, if you deactivate Annihilation and have a good rifle. I always add my Tactical Soldier build once levels allow, to have a boss killer to pair with it.

Steve Ryder: 1. Landed on Eladaan. Took some outlaws, including some guy who used an EMP on the Nomad and then tried to extort Ryder for the solution. Took out some Remnant and got to level 41. Went back to the Tempest to craft new weapons and armor.
2. Boarded the Archon's ship, grabbed the relic, and escaped with the Salarian ark. Chose to save the Pathfinder Raeka and the Salarians instead of the Krogan scouts, which angered Drack.

Steve Ryder: 1. Went to the Nexus. Spoke to Keri the reporter who was hiding in her apartment. Spoke with the Initiative leadership, who rejected the plan of going to Meridian. Talked with Sara Ryder who just woke up. Met with the scientists and other Pathfinders, who came up with a plan to get to Meridian.
2. Went to Aya. Bought some components for Jaal to improve movie night. Talked to some witnesses about the original Kett invasion. Acquired some seeds for an Initiative pilot who would take it to Podoromos.
3. Went to Kadara. Met with Sloane who wanted Ryder to go oversee her meeting with the Charlatan. Fixed a wind turbine and leveled up. Picked up a few more quests. Went mountain climbing with Vetra. Oversaw a duel between Sloane and the Charlatan, who turned out to be Reyes. Reyes won the duel by having a sniper kill Sloane. Recovered weapons from a weapons cache, then confronted the Turian about it. Recovered stolen turbine parts (now scrap) and returned them. Repaired a communications tower for an exile shelter.
4. Went to Eos. Met Jill. Planted a garden with Cora. Placed suvery beacons. Placed the second seismic hammer; chose to tap the water and screw over Advent.
Decided to call it quits for the night when I kept failing to beat the Architect, including when I was one shot away from beating it. I kept trying to play suuper aggressively, but I kept getting caught in the open without cover and gunned down by its turret (and no Saving Barrier to help, and usually not enough time to use a consumable either). I will probably try again tomorrow, and probably beat it first attempt because that's usually how it goes.

Steve Ryder: 1. Went back to Eos. Placed the third seismic hammer and defeated the Architect*. Recovered the crashed drones. Investigated missing supplies and traced them to scavengers. Kicked the scavengers off of Eos. Met Bain Massani who gave locations for Kett targets. Took out the Kett targets.
* Took me a number of tries to beat it. Like last night, I played it too aggressively and was caught out in the open -- usually hovering the air -- when it started shooting at me.
2. Went to the Nexus. Had some drinks with the other pathfinders. Replayed another memory and learned of a "Benefactor". Followed it up, and discovered that Jien Garson was murdered. Set the Pathfinder VI.
3. Went to Havarl. Met Jaal's family. Met with retired STG operative Saelen Varn, who suspects a Dr. Aden betrayed the Salarian ark to the Kett. Varn gave Ryder some leads on Dr. Aden.
4. Went to Eladaan. Restarted the vault and opened both crates on the way out*.
* Took A LOT of attempts to get both crates, including a handful of deaths milliseconds away from completing. It took me one attempt on my previous playthrough. Not sure if the vault purge acts differently (bug/glitch) on some playthroughs. Maybe male and female Ryder have different run speeds (male Ryder slower)?
5. Went to Voeld. Scanned Dr. Aden's suspected Kett handler. Scanned Dr. Aden's equipment. Resupplied two of the medical caches. Helped a potential and reluctanct Gloryseeker by taking out a Kett base. Activated a monolith. Started or continued several of the RNG quests.
6. Back to the Nexus. Spoke to Pathfinder Raeka about Varn's investigation into Dr. Aden. Raeka suggesting scanning the apartment of a Dr. Rand Lon. Scanned the apartment and found some trace evidence. Ran into Dr. Lon on the way out, who suggested ignoring Varn.
7. Back to Eladaan. Deactivated some Remnant cores at some Remnant sites before they became unstable. Started or continued some the RNG quests. Reached level 51.
Will research and develop updated armor and weapons tomorrow (or whenever I play next). Will probably respec to incorporate more melee.

I stopped bothering with those crates when I realized they didn't really contain anything worth the time and effort it took to get them. Not sure but I think the purge wave is faster on higher difficulties?

AFAIK they contain those remnant data cores that you need for one of the tasks. I don't think you'll get enough without those from the vaults.
Note that remnant cores ( crafting material item, found e.g., on architects ) and remnand data cores for pebees task are different things, even though both are only called 'remnant cores' in one place or another. The data cores do not exist as actual items in game, only as a counter.

You need 9 Remnant data cores for Peebee. I think there are 11 - 13 total in the game? I think you get one for activating a vault, and one from the crate left behind from Remnant Architects. There are few extra Remnant data cores hanging out in some other vaults, and some vaults contain an extra Remnant data core. The Eladaan vault, for example, has a Remnant data core in a side location. Eladaan has another small vault/underground Remnant location near the bottom of the map somewhere (no questline attached) that has one of those cores. The optional crates you can pick up in the main vaults behind the energy barriers contain some random items and crafting materials. You do not need them. These crates may or may not contain Remnant Cores, used in crafting Remnant weapons and armor. You can generally pick them up on the way out with no problem. Eladaan vault has two of these crates. The first crate is directly in your path towards the exit which is fairly easy to pick up. For the second crate, you either have to loop around counter-clockwise around the map, or continue along the original path, past the console, pick it up then ran back to the console. The issue I had was in my previous playthrough, I managed to pick up both crates using the second method (continue straight path, run past the console, then run back) without much trouble. This playthrough, neither method seemed to work until I barely scraped it out using the second method (which is how I think they meant you to do it). I just do not know what the difference was. Was there some trigger I triggered early each time this playthrough, or was there some inexplicable difference in male and female character run speeds (I was male this time)? I suppose I should have recorded it, but I was listening to something else on YouTube at the same time and I was not sure if that would have been picked up in the video recording or not. I use the Microsoft game bar to record stuff, and I have had some issues in the past with what it records or does not record.

Steve Ryder: 1. Researched and developed updated weapons and armor; switched the melee weapon from Remnant Cryo Gauntlet to an Asari Sword. Respecced to improve melee and add Combat Tools passive.
2. Went to Eos. Placed a receiver. Traced Ana Carrell to a small vault and recovered her data.
3. Went to Voeld. Found battle sites. Tracked down the poachers, decided to let the scientist (or whatever she is) continue the research. Tracked a bunch of chipped Angarans to central site, then eliminated the Kett and freed a prisoner. Activated more memory triggers.
4. Returned to the Nexus. Played another memory.
5. Went to Eladaan. Went to the Krogan colony and spoke with Morda. Also talked to some other Krogan to start a few quests.
6. Went to Kadara. Established an outpost. Placed a receiver. Found an Angaran settlement that had been poisoned to death. Defeated the Architect. Found an Angaran relic. Investigated an SOS signal and gave some dudes a UV lamp. (Unfortunately no way to take a sample of the plants back to the sick guy, which really sucks.) Found Ruth Bekker's shuttle, and tracked her to a hideout of Reokaar who wanted to turn her into a weapon. Killed all the Roekaar at the hideout. Ruth also died. Visited Charybdis Point and confronted them about the poisoned Angarans, then killed them when they attacked.
7. Back to Aya to return the relic and help the pilot again.
