When you were on H-047c did you get the view of The Turian Ark in the sky? I did, it was pretty nice to see still need to find the Salarian ark, but as I understand I'll find information on it on Elaaden as well...guess we'll have to wait and see
been doing a lot of stuff today Oooh, it's so much fun reading about someone else's first PT! So many twists and turns and unknowns yet to be discovered. mhm , 'specially since it's my first actual playthrough, I love it so far, I'm glad I got past my initial hurdle of not liking the game because I kept comparing it to the trilogy (which is something you shouldn't do since they're very different stories) Ryder has really started to grow on me, and I love how he/she grows during the story from wide eyed idealist to someone who's all "DEAL-WITH-IT"
I am planning on making a new Ryder after this with the default name (whilst keeping my current Ryder's appearance (might change the hairstyle) and just using head canon for my own character's name) I do like the little touches where the character's name is said if you use the default haven't decided yet who I'll romance during that playthrough...I do want to try one with Jaal, but chances are I'll stick with Reyes 'cause I like him (despite...you know...the revelation of who he really is, or claims to be)

I like CA in MEA. Its done quite tastefully compared to many other games. I find it enhances my immersion into the game, same as the noise (although it was too small compared to ME1, which was of course, mostly perfect how it represented ) There isnt much I usually disable in any game, mainly putting all to Ultra Yeah unless y computer really srtuggles with handling it performance wise I don' t tend to either. The only time I do ten dto turn things off is on my sports games sometimes for example I ten dto turn the music off when playing career mode because when I'm jus tcycling through the menus trying to figuer out which player to sign for th eclub I'm managing and all I don't really want that as I find it a bit distracting.I don' tmind it too much if I'm just focusin on playing such as in Kick off mode or the story mode but in career mode I prefer peace and quiet when I'm trying to think.

Yep. That reminds me of running ME1 the first time on XP I had Q6600 which was quite fast quadcore back in the day from Intel, but my GPU was GT9500 passive. Monitor resolution 1920x1200... "omg this motion blur is just too much!", when running and framerate took a massive dip. Later on I learnt, when GF550Ti arrived and it could render it fast enough, the previous GPU just couldnt render fast enough when the blur fx was enabled heh. Now, why I have GTX1070OC at the moment, is mainly because of MEAMP. I wanted more frames with quality rendering at same resolution (its the same monitor). Can put all to ultra. Anyway, I was about to post more screenshots, but unfortunately our internet is down atm. (can you believe it!? argh! just when today the daily challenge maps were all awesome!)

Yeah I do sometimes get a bit of a slow down in busy areas in games such as the Nexus in MEA and I do sometimes a bit in Shadow of the Tomb Raider in the Paititi area. Right now I'm just trying my best to ignore it for now though as it's only likely going to be another year or 2 before I go for a new system anyway. In fact I've been thinking next time my computer goes down I may even get one then. Mostly because with the new consoles coming soon although I'm not looking to get either atm I do at the very least want a PC that can match them and given I've got a rather aging CPU now in my current system and my mother board can't handle any more than what it's using that means a new system is required.

Been browsing "The Outer World" threads and found that there is forced "Chromatic Aberration" in it that you can't turn off without tweaking the .ini file. Which in turn reminded me of the same toggle option in MEA. I didn't know what it is at first and left it "On" for a while. And I just couldn't understand why the game looked so crappy with those effects (kind of like red dots and slight distortions) on the edges of things. Then I turned the bloody thing "Off" and, dear Maker, it was so much better.
So, anyone else being annoyed by the "Chromatic Aberration" or are there people actually enjoying how it looks in MEA?
I use CA I think it enhances the game TBH.

All my Scott's romance Cora except for 1 PB romance. My Sara's have romanced PB 3 or 4 times, Suvi a couple of times, Reyes once and Liam once. Liam's romance is actually quite good and changed how I felt about him as a squadmate as well TBH. Suvi's is really nice and I like PB's romance as it highlights how much she matures during the game. I tried to do the Jaal romance at least 3 times and could never follow through on it, it just is too weird and sickly sweet.

I cannot even remember when or if I got that achievement, is it for headshots? EDIT: so apparently I got it on the 24th of March 2017!!!!! I'd love to look for the shot but I have over 6,000 screenshots for MEA. That sounds like my video clip folder in PS4. (My PS4: "You've reached the memory quota allocated for this application." Me: "What do you mean I can only use 1/3 of PS4 memory for screencapped pictures and videos?!") Do you play ME:A on a computer or a console? I don't how it works with other consoles but when I get a trophy on PS4, my PS4 apparently shares the screenshot taken of it with my trophy list. So when I (on PS4) view my individual ME:A trophy details in my sync'ed trophies list, the trophies I've earned when playing a PS4 game also show the screenshots. But I don't know if the pictures stay there if you decide to delete the original. I am on PC, yeah it does take a screenshot when you get an achievement but Origin which I use to play the game is often inconsistent in taking it or not and I consolidate the folders that the screenshot go to to my own screenshot folders (2.2GB).

I tried to do the Jaal romance at least 3 times and could never follow through on it, it just is too weird and sickly sweet. yeah I've watched Jaal's romance on YouTube (actually watched several of them to decide who to romance, which is why I got a bit spoiled on certain things) and I do agree it's very sugary, and while I like sweet romances, it might be too sweet even for me what can I say, I like a bit of darkness in my romances, even Kaidan (who many people find boring) has some sharp edges I mean, he did sorta murder someone in self defense once while he was still a teenager, pretty badass imo.
Vetra...yeah, there's a reason Garrus never really did it for me, love the characters but don't like their romance ('specially Garrus feels like my canon Shep's brother)
I tend to romance humans, or elves...or whatever other human looking race a game tends to have (I'd be down for a Qunari romance if Iron Bull's didn't include BDSM...not really into that)
as for Liam, while I like his character to me he does seem more like a big/little brother type of character then a romance (though I might change my mind in the future) though I loved his loyalty mission, it was hilarious 'specially with all the gravity shenanigans (floor is wall, floor is ceiling and floor is floor for example) also:
Liam: *about the guy trying to kill them* see? Total arsehole! *blaring sirens followed by almost getting spaced* Ryder: Liam?! Hold me! Liam: *laughing at poorly timed joke* second squad-mate: *some variation about how they want to punch the both of them*
I've so far done all loyalty missions 'cept for PeeBee's, might take a little while longer to unlock however I have watched a part of it on YouTube where the squad enters the escape pod and Drack can't fit the seat
--
hm...now I'm pondering about whether to restart (again) as a default named Ryder...decisions decisions guess I'll just sleep on it for the night and decide when my mind is clear again

Hers tends to be the last one I do. It is a fun quest to do though it just takes a while to get to it. Jaal and Suvi aer my favouriet romances at least for Sara. For Scott out of th eones I'v eexperienced is Cora but then I've only played a couple of Scott's. My next run will be Scott though.

hm...now I'm pondering about whether to restart (again) as a default named Ryder...decisions decisions guess I'll just sleep on it for the night and decide when my mind is clear again Same I could never romance Garrus either, too much of a "Bro" as you said. Iron Bull's romance I found disappointing. I hated Liam early on but he grew on me and then doing the romance made him even more understandable, he treats Sara really nicely and it feels more natural than some of the other romances. If you haven't watched it and intend to do it try not to spoiler it. Liam's LM is great, very funny and I just loved hanging up on the Angaran boss guy Calot. Plus you can have intimacy with Liam pretty much from the beginning. I also really enjoyed PeeBee's LM it's a bit different and has some good moments, some funny and includes some good combat situations. It's probably a bit better if you are romancing her in terms of a decision you have to make and her response afterwards. Eh I wouldn't bother restarting, just do it next time, it is great though especially when your LI calls you Scott/Sara makes it feel far more personal.

So yesterday finished up all the quests on Elaaden, captured the fiend (S) for the Sharman and defeated them with Varka and Gren, retrieved Dr. Okeer's work, began the hunt for Ljeta for Rorik, fought my way through the Remnant Derelict and chased down the ships drive. Defeated The Architect, placed the radio receiver and then went and found the Turian Ark and convinced Avitus to be Pathfinder. Warlord Ryder has a nice ring to it!!! Die pesky Architect Made this guy Pathfinder Sure I have scanned POC before but first time I remember seeing this: Who asked for the bug march pic???

I am planning on making a new Ryder after this with the default name (whilst keeping my current Ryder's appearance (might change the hairstyle) and just using head canon for my own character's name) I do like the little touches where the character's name is said if you use the default haven't decided yet who I'll romance during that playthrough...I do want to try one with Jaal, but chances are I'll stick with Reyes 'cause I like him (despite...you know...the revelation of who he really is, or claims to be) Since I discovered that the game uses Scott and Sara's name if you leave the character you created called that I have never named them anything else since. I think I am playing Scott (4) now and Sara (8) I like all the romances except Jaal's and Vetra's I keep being tempted to but her personality is just too sisterly for me and I have a thing about the whole exo-skeleton thing. But... Turians have cat-like faces! Even Bioware noticed that; drunk Grunt in shower appears to comment on it at the Citadel DLC party. Generally speaking, I'm really not sure if I'll do a Suvi romance sometime. Minor thing, as I'm playing on "Not my PC", German game version, Suvi has a pretty high, cute voice while Katy Townsend's struck me as deeper. Secondly, I'm dreading more religious discussion. I think that the initial conversation did not do the topic justice, as if one advances far enough without taking a stance, Ryder's options are reduced to binary "I believe" or pointing that science and religion are inherently opposite. Who asked for the bug march pic??? I think it was me. I tried to capture "Elaaden Spit Bug Take-Off Parade" before, but I'm too slow. Also, I tend to scan everything. Ryder is by definition nosy. At least mine are.

Liam: *about the guy trying to kill them* see? Total arsehole! *blaring sirens followed by almost getting spaced* Ryder: Liam?! Hold me! Liam: *laughing at poorly timed joke* second squad-mate: *some variation about how they want to punch the both of them* I think enough has been said about that scene already. I don't need to chime in.

I am playing for the umpteenth time and have miilons of credits, research points etc. but still can't help but scan everything, loot everything and check places I have checked just in case I missed something before!!!! I have become somewhat better at leaving enemies loot except for ones I know drop something special.

So yesterday had a fair bit of fun, did PeeBee's LM which is always good and didn't kill Kalinda. Headed to Voeld to retrieve Dr Kennedy, do the Roekaar tests (beat Andraknor (SP?) score easily and also to finish up the scan the Angaran random generate mission. The game was kin to me and the first three Kett places I stopped provided bodies to scan. Then headed back to The Nexus to finish the Spender missions and put him in Jail this time. Checked in with Andraknor re the tests, spoke to Jaal who liked the Elcor Hamlet, checked in with the Doctor in Hydroponics and chatted to Vorn. Checked in with Avitus and Sarissa, gave Kesh the flower and then headed to Kadara, had a fight with Drack and got Ljeta's location from Colt Dalton. Then to Aya, did the run everywhere mission for Merixus missions, found Ljeta spoke to her and convinced her to take Rorik's bracelet and gave Avelja the star map. Note to self need to go back to Elaaden and recruit the guy in the landing area for the resistance and talk to Rorik!!! Pic's PeeBee keeping Scott on his toes: "Looks like we are in for a bumpy ride" Haven't had a squad member die for as long as I can remember: Cora doing ballet and A Destroyer getting just a little too close PeeBee saves Kalinda then punching her in the face:

I think I have only had a squad mate die 5 times in all the times I have played and at least 3 times was in the first PT!!!! I have a heap of Cobras, I try not to use them but if I am feeling impatient I'll SPAM them. I did that against the Giant Fiends yesterday in the Heskarl trials, just couldn't be assed fighting them.

Yeah I think I've only had it happen maybe 3 or 4 times. They g odown more often in the trilogy than in MEA as I even had Garrus go down twice last night whlie fighting the Thorian even went down myself but that was due to running out of medigel but those creepers were piling on the pressure last night. Yeah I tend to save the Cobra's for the bosses as I don't usually find that many inmy playthrough's bu tthey do come in handy against the Ascendants and fiends making quick work of both.

Messed around Elaaden with an earlier Scott I had created about a year ago... rolling back the file save to redo the last half of the game with a respec just for kicks (see my changed profile picture to get an idea what he looks like). He's off to H-047c to take on the Remnant Progenitor (my favorite battle).

With regards to the Cobras after about my 5th PT I used a mod to add unlimited supplies at the store in the Tempest and bought thousands of Cobras!!!!! I had about 10,000,000 credits in the bank by that stage!!!!!
