Nooooooo I love the start of the game, I think it's really great and gets you in the mood for Habitat 7!!!!!! I'd never skip it, but I'd gladly skip all of the first visit to The Hyperion!!!!! yeah, I don't plan on using it myself either, but thought it'd be nice to post here in case people were interested
also, in reply to the Skip the Fade mods...there's also a mod now that allows you to skip the Deep Roads, and even one that skips Ostagar
I have used the Skip the Fade mod in the past, but haven't done so in recent years...and despite the "Skip the Deep Roads" mod I don't use that either 'cause I love making my Wardens suffer with me YeahI don't think I'd use any skip level mods.If I did then I think then th eDeep Roads one would likely be the one as that level does creep me out especially hte Hespith speech and Broodmother. The fact the deep Roads is quite a long level doesn't help (as it can take the better part of a day to get through it) but still. But yeah as a warden we'er supposed to deal with this shit as Varric would say. But yeah if m ywarden's prepared to suffer through all this to stop the Blight then so should I be. Because unfortunately stopping the Blight means fighting the darkspawn whenever it is necessary.

Sooo many rerolls. I could spend an entire day in the CC. Honestly it’s one of my favourite parts of BioWare games, lol. I am not sure what it is but I usually have no trouble creating Sara's but Scott's usually take me multiple attempts. Sara's are usually good enough that I can live with it till the facial reconstruction becomes available Scott's are usually "damn" start again. Yeah I tend to struggle wit hmale ones. Female ones I've usually got nailed as I kind of just use ladies that just look cute to me as inspiration. I usually use characters like Buffy o rhte Charmed ones something like that as I'd imagine someone who is a warden or a soldier would look like that in Bioware's worlds. Must admit it works pretty well. Sometimes I use models and other celebrity figures as well. In fact my last Inquisitor was based off a model.

You are welcome and yes, in my third game play I chose to be the female Ryder Sara after two runs as the male Ryder Scott. And thanks for the words on my CC on her, I also find her cute, her look inspired by an aunt of mine.
She runs on hardcore level and doing well in a combination of a caring and loving approach, being gentle, attentive and a true explorer. She handles the Black Widow and the X5 Ghost amazing, and helped by her brothers earlier efforts (the two previous game runs) by having high level weapons from start!

I restarted MEA a few days ago (in-between GW2 sessions). I talked a bit about it in the "what you did in games" thread of the general forum. I love the combat in this game. I also forgot that I have to rush to the monolith on Eos before I can really start the game. If you give me an open map and a cool drive, I will wander! But this game is just annoying until you do that little thing. I wish they just opened all the planets from the get go, screw players who need direction and linearity otherwise they stay in one spot wondering what to do...It's going to be hours until I can have fun on Voed and Elaaden. My current aims: romance Peebee and not die. I already know both these things will be failures. Well maybe not the Peebee part... I'm kinda feeling for a "I'm totally clueless at what I do but I have my heart is in the right place" Ryder playthrough.

Contrary to my last statement about the Ricochet Charger, I did not deconstruct it to build another one without ricochet augment. Instead I increase the speed of the ricochet projectiles to something more reasonable. Turns out actually being able to the enemies in the face or chest instead of their feet does make a difference! Who knew Its still not great, but at least slightly better. Went to Voeld with this, to search for the Periphona - the asari scout ship. On the way there, Ryder and Cora encountered what seemed to be a crashed shuttle, whose crew fired a flare to get attraction. Turns out they wanted to attract and kill a bunch of Kett. Ryder was cought in the middle and had to fight with them. Well, the fewer kett the better. They also found another tidbit of remtech for Pebee. And after that finally the remains of the Periphona. And more Kett, of course there were even more Kett. But Cora managed to salvage data from the scout ship's flight recorder, so we now have an actual idea where the asari ark is located! Ryder and Cora are already preparing, while the Tempest is underway there. If anyone else is interested, the mod for the faster ricochet projectiles can be found among other small mods there: Changes Pack

Alright, X attempt to play as a soldier class as an "old school" player (no biotic/tech powers). Have finished prologue, nothing special, did it with every class several times. Did every task there. But to hear again that a human can be a biotic is indeed "very strange", impossible even! My poor freckled sort of ginger green-eyed simple Soldier Jane is already feeling out of place. Yes, I can handle any gun, was number 1 among "students", can figure out how an alien gun works very fast, but what does it matter if I have no biotic or maybe tech powers? Cora should be the main character, not some simple soldier as Jane.
Fucking annoying already. "Skip" helps of course, if not - a cup of coffee.
MEA is a great game where a player should really think (considering some changes it is really so - it is my opinion and each my statement can explain), but such moments as that did not make it "one of favorites". Too bad.
But still play from time to time. Now again a soldier attempt. Did not think of the build and weapons yet. Though weapons will be from our galaxy, that I know already.

Then return later to accomplish, what people you meet, ask/want you to do. And it is clear by game design, they want to stress you by throwing things to do at you rather quick.
Be patient.. it is a huge galaxy And yes, only after like 1½ hour game play, it really starts to open up.

1.5 hours? I takes me 2 hours to leave habitat 7 and then another 1 to 2 hours on the Nexus. Than another hour or two to get to Eos Monolith...I tend to get lost in the way even if it is hard to miss. I can get to Eos Monolith in like 3 hours, but that's a lots of spacebarring dialogues and rushing, because even if it is useless I have to check every dialogue options and trigger every banter. Everyone of them. Every time.

But Cora managed to salvage data from the scout ship's flight recorder, so we now have an actual idea where the asari ark is located! Ryder and Cora are already preparing, while the Tempest is underway there. Cora's LM is one of my favorite. Cora changes etc etc, the story, characters, yes. But the final battle itself, where you can kick others into open space is funny + music there suits so much, even if there is nothing special at all about it. Cora's" Shut the hell up!" is awesome too. I'm kinda feeling for a "I'm totally clueless at what I do but I have my heart is in the right place" Ryder playthrough. Do not want speed run? I did that, only main quests, started from level 1, finished lvl 20 + (did some additional quests because like them). But will give an idea or a reminder about almost everything important like planets in general/characters a little/armor/weapon. After already start a full PT. Just a suggestion as myself did such PT but out of curiosity in my case.

Not this time. well I don't think so. I'm not sure if I'm going to make a complete PT, but speed runs are a bit hard for me...I'm kinda OCD to quest markers. I've done speed run for the other ME games though.

Thanks for sharing N7_Shadow_DK is that your Ryder? She's very attractive and well made.

The Ghost is great and the weapon I used most for my first 3 or 4 PT's but it lack ooomphh, it feels lightweight and it's damage numbers aren't great but it has high RPM. I gave up carrying a Sniper rifle because it weighs too much and a decent Assault Rifle is capable of a decent range especially using a scope for better accuracy. For my 6 or more since PT's I have just stuck to using The Valkyrie augmented with Auto-fire, Double Mod Slot and as many KineticCoils as you can put on it. It does great damage, is pretty accurate and it just feels and sounds good to fire. So I don't have to worry too much about Ammo I carry two of them. Tip if you aren't aware, adding Kinetic Coils to your Melee weapon counts as damage on your other weapons as well. Hardcore's the sweet spot I think, makes it challenging but not as grindy as Insanity.

So I’m gonna have to play around with some gun builds and not default to my comfort zone.

Yes, I researched the X5 Ghost to throw explosive projectiles, which helps a lot giving it more oomph. Just ask the Ascendants, who meet Sara Ryder with that modified Ghost . And ZAP provides priceless support; often just by distracting boss enemies and at same time the Remnant VI peels shields/amour making those boss enemies vulnerable.
Also a good assault riffle is The Sandstorm, lot of oomph although slow firing rate and it can replace a heavy sniper rifle.
Another favorite of mine is the Revenant with extended barrel, kills a destroyer more easy after have used a sniper rifle long distance to knock out its gun turrets. I like to use the Black Widow long distance on Atlas, Destroyer etc.
And it all depends on ones play style, the weapons above all best when fighting in cover and moving to a new position seeking cover. Mass Effect Andromeda gives huge freedom in strategy and fighting style, which is quite remarkable.

No game is the same, unlike in 2 and 3 mostly one has to seek the optimal way or risk of dying on higher levels. In 1 and A, especially in A, no attack has been the same yet for me haha. I've been very mobile, moving through walls for sudden strikes, being adept with artillery style and sentinel with biotic&techsplosions. Even inside those gameplays I've used different passives like more hang air etc. In MP revenant seems to be actually quite ok even on Gold, using X variant with mods and equipment. Add a kit with Turbo Charge on top of it and melt.. not so much on platinum though

Video (1080 full HD) with Sara with the Revenant in a commando raid on Johan's place. NB: Spoiler alert!
Mass Effect Andromeda - Sara Ryder - Out of the Frying Pan, Spirits' Ledge, Kadara
Nakmor Drack and ZAP spread confusion among the outlaws, enabling Sara to push forward using the Revenant.
Weapon augmentation/mod and using skills further enable a diversity of fighting, where the possible combinations are nearly innumerable and again making fights and weapons usage by individual players unique.

Excellent attack and using MP learnt skills I see, thinking with height and flanking cover by hovering in air! Now that video makes me want to play SP again, the burn has been started. I'll finish some books first though.
