I got to talk to Scott. I decided to tell him the truth about everything, and it didn't go well. I hope I didn't break him (spoiler tag contains screenshots) I also talked to the Big Bad and met Jaal. Not a great first impression, I must say. I take it some of the angara have run into colonists already, and have upgraded their own omnitools/babblefish/whatever to be able to communicate with Sara? Edit much later: Nevermind, this is their first meeting with humans. Space magic to the rescue, then? I kind of wish it hadn't gone this smoothly. I don't mean that I wanted a gun fight to break out, but more misunderstanding would have been interesting to deal with. The resistance has been monitoring the Nexus, their failed outposts and the exiles, and their activities since they arrived in Andromeda, through their communications mostly (IIRC, reading codex entries). Also, apparently refugees from the turian ark had arrived on Havarl? Haven't gotten to that quest yet. Ryder's meeting is the first time angarans have revealed themselves and met humans in person. I told my twin the truth about having trouble with the golden worlds but I just couldn't bare telling the truth about dad, yet.

Today I mounted a rescue mission into a Kett facility on Voeld with Drack and Jaal. Everything was going quite well until the Cardinal sync-killed me moments before we would have won, and I had to go through the fight again. Decided to save angaran prisoners and made a beeline for the landing pad. While waiting for extraction got sync-killed by a bloody great big rock-gorilla thing. After going through all that again we escaped and returned to the Tempest.
I was then told that my sympathy wasn't genuine and that the Moeshe (who wanted to blow up the facility with her people inside it) cares more about my people than I care about hers.
Drack and I threw her out of the airlock. All in all, it was an average day.

I hate the contagion mission. All that planet hopping. I was hoping the shuttle got sucked into the black hole, crashed into a planet, got wrecked in an asteroid field, got eaten by a space monster..no such luck. Loads of superman flying. *sigh*
On the plus side for this game;
* The planetary environments are varied and excellently crafted. * The Arks, Tempest (despite being toothless), the Nomad are lovely designed ships and vehicles. * Fast travel planetary points * Good mission tracker * Plenty / varied opportunities to gather mats for crafting

A warning on Vetra's loyalty mission. At one point, you'll have to attack mobs while trying to protect civilians. Do not leave the room. I found that the door bugged out, it will not open after the mobs were taken care of and you have to go back to talk to the civilians. It's better to shoot down the mobs from the doorway of the room. Biotics, grenades, anything, just don't leave it until the mission tells you to move on.

I found I could sell things to Thrasia on Kadara for full price, so I sold a couple hundred random minerals for 80,000 credits.

Maybe a little white...,, Whatever. But can't fix anything about dad....

Was on Aya looking around and stopped to talk to the Paaran in her office. Ended up in a conversation loop that could not be broke without forcing game closed. Yet to load game back up.

One thing I have to mention before I forget. I really don't like the limited interaction dialogue arc in MEA. You have to get in front or the right angle of a NPC in order to get the initiate dialogue prompt. I find myself struggling to get that light up in constraint spaces on a few occasions.
In DAI, you can approach the NPCs at any angle, they turn to face you once you interact with them.

Went back to Eos after having recruited Jaal and having done some side content on the Nexus and I just got depressed after seeing all the stuff on the map ...More forward stations ,more mining, more fetch quests... I did some stuff but I REALLY got frustrated over not being able to find a drone. My scanner was beeping and I couldn't find that thing anywhere.Spent a good 15 minutes on that. Later, I thought I should ditch the fetch quests for a moment and try at least activate the forward stations ...I chose one ,placed a waypoint and tried to go....I tried for the better part of 30 minutes, circles ...dead ends ...so I decided to turn off my PS4! WHY COULDN'T WE JUST HAVE SHUTTLES??? WHY ARE THE MAPS SO CONFUSING????

Yeah, that bugs me too. I hate having to try to find just the right spot in order to trigger the interact button. Sometimes I have to back up, move around, try the other side - ugh. That, and the mouse pointer getting stuck mid-screen are really the only glitches I'm having. Considering how buggy DAI was at launch, I really can't complain too much.
Another thing I did yesterday - found a pet hamster for my room.

Rolph Ryder, biotics, (mostly) logical-casual (prequel)After the group solved some problems on Eos, they targeted the Onaon System. On the way the Kett attacked them. Kallo managed to maneuver out of the trap, but the Tempest received alien escorts. The planet, where they led the Tempest to, is beautiful. The inhabitants are cautious, but does not seem to be hostile. Rolph ready to first contact The future teammate wary yet, but seems promishing The Resistance's leader suspicious, and not very friendly, but nor even hostile Jaal will help to obtain the trust

I'm getting the feeling that there is a certain order to do things in, and I'm not following it. For example, last time I spoke with Cora, she was still obsessing over the asari ark and how we "need" them. But, I've got 2 outposts founded, 3 colonies @ 100% viability, and Kadara @ 92% viability, with an outpost about to be founded there. So, why do we need them other than for cannon fodder vs the kett?
Dialogue paths seem to be pre-set, regardless of actual game conditions, which is sad. It's like companion banter in JoH wondering how we're going to defeat Coryface, after he's already dead.
Today is my last day off before going back to work tomorrow. Got to make it count.

Ok , I calmed down and booted the game up again. Finally, found my way around some very annoying mountains on Eos ,which is great. After that ,unfortunately I encountered a mission which I am afraid is bugged There is a kett base which you can seize but I think there is an infinite enemy spawn bug. I complete all objectives until a certain point where I disable alarms to avoid more reinforcements ,but the enemies keep spawning over and over...and they spawn out of thin air.Not only that, some are invisible.Even if I manage to get to the core of the base ,I get overwhelmed. Some other people have reported that as well... If anyone has any idea about it. I'd be happy to hear of any solutions.

OMG, I loved getting to the top of that huge Tower of Wisdom on Havarl. One of my favorite sequences in the game so far. Normally I got flustered with both exploration and jumping [uzzles, but I just felt so relaxed and interested in finding my way around... Out of 2 planets I visited so far Havarl is my absolute favorite. Angara AND Turians on the same world AND it's a lush jungle world with Gree architecture... awww... I am gamegasming!

That mission to get to and help the asari ark is not bad. I liked it I have all 5 colonies at 100% I just fought 3 fiends at once with two other krogan in the arena. It was a tough fight. One thing the fiends don't like is the concussive shot. It stuns them for a moment, but pi**es them off a lot. I'm at level 47 with about 70% completion. Still have the Meridan thing left to do.

Sometimes I really like Scott Ryder. After fighting that Cardinal on Voeld. Had SAM prepare to wipe the place out. Think I picked the casual response. Just loved the "Except I am gonna fuck your shit up. How's that for great? Now I want to see how Sara does that response.

Decided to restart the game after eight hours because I wasn't entirely happy with how my Ryder looked and it was really bothering me.
Activated the remnant vault on Eos and started a science colony. Cora and Vetra started bickering in the Nomad and Cora is now grounded for a week because she started it: "I read your dossier" "What's it say?" "It's classified"

Maybe because I stayed pretty much right next to it, but in the hallway? I doubt I'll be the only one to get the bug. I cleared everything, checked, double checked but the door would not open. Luckily the autosave set me back at the point where the civilians were running into the room for safety so I stayed in and never went out. The mobs auto come at me anyway. I just took them out as they ran back down the stairs. One thing I have to mention before I forget. I really don't like the limited interaction dialogue arc in MEA. You have to get in front or the right angle of a NPC in order to get the initiate dialogue prompt. I find myself struggling to get that light up in constraint spaces on a few occasions. Another thing I did yesterday - found a pet hamster for my room. I'm fortunate to have a 99.9% glitch free run with DAI. The odd one was with one of the mini-quest for the horse; the guard who gave the watchtower quest somehow ended up at the bottom of the map so I couldn't turn it in. That PT was abandoned and I had to restart. I got the hamster too. He doesn't seem as squeaky and active as Shep's hamster. Presently knocking out companion quests; Drack's. Clearing out the zone first though. P.S. By Shai-Hulud!!! I landed on D U N E. I can imagine myself as a Fremen on the sands of Dune. Shucks, Bioware could actually do a post Muad'Dib RPG universe (picking up from resolved saga written by Frank Herbert's son where Paul and Chani were reborn on a new Dune) but I doubt it can happen.

Fought the Cardinal on Voeld, died, reloaded, killed Cardinal, told purple Kett spokeswoman that I was going to fuck up her shit, then renegade interrupted to shoot her...saved some angarans, and pissed off Moshae. I'm still not interested in Liam or Jaal. Jaal is marginally more interesting than Liam. Instead, Sara flirted with Vetra again. I really like how turians use their mandibles to emote.

Heya!
I opened up the Vault on Havarl - love those gravity wells, no matter how many times I ride them! - and managed to win Evfral approval (spelling is approximate, but, you know, top cat-squid) cleared a couple of sidequests en route (Turian arc) then went to unlock a memory, play poker and resolve a Hydroponics riot on Nexus.
Finally sorted out how to properly scan the system to 100% completion, build myself an awesome Avenger iii, researched just because I can some really cool assault rifle, and all that jazz.
Tied up a couple of lose ends on Eos (Asari arc) and Havarl (chitchatted with Addison and found a lead on Akksun who sounds more like my dream Andromeda romance than Jaal) so now all leads point to Voedal, or Andromeda's version of Hoth or Ilum... ah, I hate going to ice world after Havarl, but to save the Initiative, I will do it!
Onward! Well, tomorrow.... can't wait!
