Hey folks,

Looking for some ideas here. Myself and several others have been unable to play multiplayer since yesterday because of constant crashes. Haven't had any luck with EA Answers. Any ideas what we can do to resolve this?

I've been playing ME:A multiplayer all day today (and all 10 hours of the trial over the weekend). As of about 4 hours ago, it's become basically unplayable for me.

The last 6 matches and counting have resulted in a hard crash to desktop a minute or so into the match. I'm ok with and understanding of the occasional crash on launch day, but my last two+ hours have been completely wasted. I've gotten no experience or credits.

It sounds like I'm not the only one having problems, but I've yet to see a large thread detailing the issues and any fixes that may have been found.

Things I've tried:

- Update to latest nVidia driver

- Never stay in a match with a soldier

- Never play as a soldier (my favorite class

)

- Create a custom lobby to host the game myself

- Changed all the graphics settings, from my listed config all the way down to the lowest settings

My system specs are below:

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz

RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4-2133

GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB SSC

Game is installed on SSD with plenty of space

Does it give you any error message? If not, have a look at the Event Viewer in Windows (start menu, type in Event Viewer, in there go to "Windows Logs"->Application). You might find some info there.

I experience the exact same bullshit. It made me hardly play yesterday and I won't play anymore today, 4 crashed out of 6 matches is far too much. The part that makes me the most angry is that this exact same issue was in DA:I MP and it never got aknowledged or fixed so I'm not holding my breath here. I didn't have a single issue during my 10 hours trial and since the full game it's constant crashing.

Have you tried setting its Properties to "Run as Administrator"?

Right click the shortcut icon, then click Properties. There are 2 checkboxes for Run as Administrator buried in there somewhere, make sure you check both. And in Task Manager > Details, right click and set Priority to High. You must set Priority every time you start the game.

Have no idea if it will help with your particular issue, but it's something you should be doing anyway.

This happened to me a lot when I was playing soldier. I switched to infiltrator and it seems to happen less, but it's still happening

Core i5 3570K @ 4.5GHz
AMD Radeon 7970
8GB Corsair

I should probably state no other game is having any issue including BF1, SWBF and Overwatch.

I've only had this happen a couple of times and it is annoying that there is no error message. Got to be really frustrating for those experiencing it that often. Hopefully they get on this soon.

Are you guys experiencing the crashes from quick matching? I'm assuming quick match groups you with players from the same region. I've only been playing on a NA-hosted lobbies (I'm from a different region) and have been crashing regularly, so I figured the crashes were because me and the host were far from each other.

I was hosting yesterday, had Doc and 2 pugs. All three of them dropped out and I had to solo Devices; fortunately more help soon arrived.

Doc told me he crashed to desktop. Presumably that happened to EVERYONE who wasn't the host, all at the same time. :huh:

My CTD issue is I speculate connected to a host-client desync as the client. I CTD in about 75% or more of my client games after the game freezes for about 2-3 seconds. I have fairly spotty internet as I have no option of wired network in this student housing nor access to router settings, obviously.

When I host, however, I never CTD. Not a single time in maybe twenty games or so as host. My friends with whom I play who hadn't been having this CTD issue at all whilst hosting get it regularly as the client on my host.

There are no other patterns I can identify. It happens on all kits, all maps, against all factions, using all weapons. The only variable I can discern is whether I'm the host, which seems to hold 100%.

Interesting thing is that when do manage to finish a whole match (rare) there has bbeen no noticeable lag. I think it is automatically disconnecting laggers but may have set the bar too high, so anyone not perfect is being booted

I'm also in NZ and usually play with a friend of mine who lives close by (different suburb, same city). Even if he hosts I still CTD often as his client, I assume due to my frequent ping spikes (which would mimic in certain ways the experience of being physically distant).

I agree with you that this is likely due to a fault in dropping people who are lagging. It is annoying because it never happens in ME3; even if I lag out there it never crashes my game. This is a software issue with their product that they will hopefully rectify.

Krogan Gladiator seems to crash the game for me, crasshed every time I tried to use her (about 6 times) and have pretty much had 20 hours of crash free gamnig before I tried her. This is on xbox.

Anyone else had this as well?

I don't own the game yet but this happened all the time back in DAIMP, looks like it's the same case (CTD without any warning, no error log created either). :huh:

Also it wasn't fixed until almost one year after release, just you have the idea.

Things you can do that might lower the chance of CTDs:
- Lower graphic settings;
- Run the game in windowed mode;
- Launch the game/Origin with admin privilege;
- Add exceptions for the game .exe/folder in your antivirus software settings;
- Avoid using certain chars (I guess Human Soldier is the new Elementalist?).

Other than that there isn't much you can do I'm afraid, until BioWare address the stability issues.

It happens to me about 20% of games, game freezes and CTD. Also disconnect sometimes, and always get kicked out to start screen, not mp lobby. I have tried different resolutions, no help. Always play random groups, never host. Very annoying because exp and rewards usually lost, along with consumable boosts.
