Total noob question here so mock me if you must.
How do you jump high? Do you need to be running before you jump? Do you need to jump, then hover, then... I dunno double-jump or something?
I see other players jumping up onto super tall ledges and I'm face-bashing the wall below them.
Help me BSN you're my only hope!

Holding the button down provides a higher jump.
I've yet to see if any kits have skills/passives that allow them to jump higher.

Is it just me...or maybe just my Salarian Operator...but he seems very...S-L-O-W...when hurdling cover.
I've tried all sorts of methods, but he always seems to have this 1-2 delay.

Some kits are better jumpers. At least that's my experience so far.
Hosting helps. A lot.
Hovering via the zoom button will let you cover a bit more horizontal ground, which may help you get to the edge of a structure. Add a dodge at the end.

I've yet to see if any kits have skills/passives that allow them to jump higher. Have not yet seen anything like that, just extended hovering time. Currently working on a massive skill tree dump, though, so that should bring more clarity.

Thanks for the info. Why wasn't this explained in the 'tutorial'?
Also do you know what my absolutely least favorite game mechanic of all times is? TIMED JUMPING PUZZLES! Now I get to do those every time I play MEAMP. Great.

I hade some games so laggy that I wasn't able to jump onto things I was absolutely certain I had jumped onto previously. Was really frustrating. Sometimes the grabbing animation just doesn't connect properly. This needs urgent fixing.

Also the BL-Pre-Sequel style jump smash: hold jump to get airborne then push the melee button (Y on XBONE) to do a melee smash move.
But it appears to be toothless and ineffective despite the eye-candy factor associated with its animation. So basically a microcosm of the whole fucking game.
The dash melee combo doesn't appear to be a thing...tried and it's just melee (after a dash).
