Honest Thoughts About ME:A (16 hours played so far)

Once again hello everyone!
I'm going to be discussing my thoughts about Mass Effect Andromeda (MEA) right now, and hopefully get some other pros and cons from all of you as well.
I'll start off with my general thought of what Bioware was attempting to do with MEA.
I believe this was the game that they bet everything on, including the future of the ME series and the future of the company itself.
They changed their algorithm for the game, from a corridor shooter (linear play) to a "open, free-roam" world. This is a huge step forward in my opinion because I believe "corridor shooters" are outdated and everyone enjoys the latter, which for the last few years "open world" has been the hype for video games.
The topics I'll include in my conversation are: Animations, Combat, Dialogue, Single Player, and Multiplayer.
Animations
The animations (specifically facial during close up dialogue encounters) seem to me as the lips are programmed to move with certain lettering of words. For example when you say the word "purpose", your lips purse together during the beginning of the word to make the "p" sound. I feel as if this is outdated and could have done better with the voice actors being hooked up to do motion capture.
Some of the running animations are a little wonky at times, but I think that is a camera fix rather than an animation fix.
With that said, I do believe people are blowing it out of proportion. They are no better, nor worse, than previous ME games. Something I did to remedy this, even though I got past it withing the first few hours of game-play, was to enable the subtitles in the game. Doing this allows you to read exactly what's going on, get a better understanding of things in my opinion, and focuses your eyes on the subtitles rather than the facial animations if that's what is bothering people so much.
Combat
Easily by far my favorite combat system from all the games in recent history. The fast-pace, high mobility is adrenaline rushing and the need to be in cover is paramount. If you walk out in the open, and make a mistake, chances are you're going to die. However, I switched some of the keybindings around a bit because some of the moves, like dash being on MMB, were awkward. I changed them to the following: LEFT ALT -- JUMP, SPACE BAR -- DASH, MMB -- SWITCH SHOULDERS
Dialogue
Once again, just like the animations, I believe people are scrutinizing the game a little too much. I don't know what people were specifically looking for but I have found the dialogue quiet interesting and flows very well. Yes, some of the stuff is stupid, but I believe that is just a dry humor, trying to portray the awkwardness that would be had between two different alien species meeting for the first time.
Single Player
Out of all the ME games, I love the single player in Andromeda the best. I love the fact that I can go explore and take care of what I want when I want. I feel as if your decisions make a lot more impact in MEA than they did before as well. Your teammates are useful, and I love the Strike Team missions which can be a cross-bridge between SP and MP. The story so far has kept me interested, and there have definitely "Holy...." moments during the game like when
Multiplayer
Multiplayer I believe has taken a turn for the best. The fast paced action, tied with the brutal combat antics have proven itself a challenge to myself, and most of the people I have played with in random groups. I believe it's going to take some getting used to for most people with the fact that you CANNOT stand still, you have to be constantly moving to and from cover because the enemies are not dumb. They no longer just funnel towards you like they did in ME3. They will flank you and come up from behind you often. Overall, I love it.

you finish completing the first set of monoliths and you go to the center point. All of a sudden, a giant structure erupts from the water and as I watched it rise into the sky, I just thought to myself, "that would be so cool to see in real life."
