Was wondering if anyone figured out if mods and stats that increase clip size and reload speed affect beam weapons (like P.A.W. Rifle)? Do they increase/decrease your charge and overheat rate or do nothing?

I put it on the Observer and i swear it started doing less damage than the Raptor.

Haven't tried a beam weapon yet, but based on a gun I augmented with a vintage heat sink I'd guess no. I have a mod with somewhere around +50% clip size on that pistol but it overheats after 6 shots which is the normal clip size.
Seems like a weird choice to make some mods not work.

Not sure. Which one is the P.A.W? Is it the one other then the shadow? It's one of the Remnant tech assault rifles for research, it's a beam weapon (no ammo/clip), just has 100% energy with a fast recharge and if you get down to 0% it overheats (similar cooldown to reload).

Vintage heat sinks just has such a big negative on clip size that you need a big clip size mod to just bring it up to stock size... That pistol has two shots without mod...
