Has anyone encountered a glitch involving this task that you pick up in Voeld? It's from the engineer from the first cave. I just plowed through the quest in Voeld but when I'm trying to craft the upgrade as required, it won't let me. I click "A" to confirm I want it -- and yes I do have the required resources -- but it just goes back to the nomad crafting page.

It lets me craft it, but it doesn't acknowledge it in my journal. Yep that is exactly my problem. It even said it was installed the next time I entered the Nomad yet it still appears in Journal as a task to do. Ahhh just another 'small glitch' to add to the list  |

I think you have to craft it at the marked area's research terminal to acknowledge it.

But it is a one shot deal, it is an item you can only craft once. Does that mean I am screwed, that I will never be able to show it as finished?

I had the same issue. Forever unresolved even though I crafted it. I probably did it on the Tempest as it didn't occur to me I'd need to craft it at the local research terminal as mrobnoxiousuk pointed out.

NO way to get %100 unless you load a save before then or play it through again. The quest does NOT say craft this item at the current craft station it just says craft it. So like so many others I crafted it on the Tempest and I am screwed. Thank you Bioware such a top notch developer you are |

SO many side-quests in this game have secret requirements; it's mind-blowing. And now all i can do is stare at it angrily in my quest-log and feel like my completely completed game, isn't. |

Not sure if this is for everyone, but I worked out what triggered this for me. You can upgrade the uncommon Improved Shield regeneration previously, as it becomes available. It did after I did Havarl, I upgraded it there then went to Eos and Voeld, when I got the quest it was in the research station but I couldn't upgrade it (already had it in the stats section for Nomad) +50% regeneration.
So it seem for others it is just bugged in general, but they may has already upgraded it but don't recall. If you think you have go check in the stats tab in skills section beforehand. I am also wondering if this is tied tot eh neverending ! for the inventory section which is caused by any nomad upgrade (i think).
Someone also mentioned where to craft it, the Nomad is a section to craft it and there is no research station at Voeld at the initial base at least.
