So I've put about 60 hours into Andromeda now, but I still am not quite sure what Apex Missions actually do.
I know they give you rewards in the form of loot crates, but is that the only tie in to single player?
Why do the Strike Team missions have different symbols next to them - some are standard, and some have arrows next to them.
If someone could clarify, that would be great.

Hoping for answers too. The manual dedicates a whole 3 sentences to Strike Teams.
First APEX mission I signed up for, put me into a Gold match with only level 1 characters, (thanks EA), so had to leave. After that I just tried ordinary matches to advance my character a bit but a lot of disconnects in-game and while just checking out what I had (no in-game). Never had very many disconnects in ME 3 MP.
The Arrow ones seem to be on a timer. So I picked one which I think was at the 7 hour mark -> 00:7:00. Played it, Mission Succeeded. Went back and it's still showing up; played it again successfully and again it still shows up; and a 3rd time. SHRUG - decided not to waste any more time and sent out the APEX team, which showed a 71% success rate.
Guessing it's still buggy and will be a while before it's tuned.

The arrow means that those can be manually played in MP at that time.

I know they give you rewards in the form of loot crates, but is that the only tie in to single player? Why do the Strike Team missions have different symbols next to them - some are standard, and some have arrows next to them. If someone could clarify, that would be great. Think of it this way: A strike team mission [ no arrow symbol] is just a mission that you can send your team on and get pathfinder rewards & missions funds if they succeed. An Apex mission [has arrow symbol] is basically a strike team mission, except you have the option to complete it yourself, if you don't want to send your team for you. These yield better rewards. Each of these takes a certain time to complete. It will tell you how long the team you sent will take to complete it [ie 2 hours, 5 hours ext] If you do the Apex missions yourself, you can complete them faster than if you send a team. Also, each is ranked in difficulty from easiest to hardest [bronze, silver, gold] Missions funds that you get for succeeding are used to purchase more teams, so you can send more than one out at a time, or to buy perks for those teams, to increase the chances of mission success. Other rewards just help you in SP, for example, getting minerals to craft things, or credits to buy things you want/need from stores. Does that help at all?
