TODAY'S CONFESSION, wherein I must openly admit my sins and seek absolution:
Was just in a PUG lobby - random/outlaw/gold -- and about to enter into the third game in a row with the same two dudes...they were nice enough guys...and I was playing the HSol /revenant which is only at level 11 but at that point I'm only missing skill points in CS and frags, and plus tho I'm a scrub, I'm a pro-scrub right? In comes a new player - a level 20 novaguard with a name like "Quantum-Entangle" or something - and he says,"Is this guy Mal with you guys? Can we get rid of him? He's just gonna drop a million times and be dead weight" and etc, etc, etc.
Now, I consider myself a pretty even keeled guy...but this takes me by surprise. I hadn't considered that such a thing would EVER happen to me. I mean, it's ME! I can hang with most anyone.
Well, I went from mild-mannered academic to drunken sailor in 0.5 seconds and began to unleash a stream of obscenities and seriously non-PC slurs that would make President Trump proud. On top of that, I'm pretty sure I challenged Capt. Easymode Vanguard to meet me in the THUNDERDOME. He starts saying some bullcrap about speedy gold farming and me slowing things down and I retort that he could do that with friends if retar...well, I colorfully challenged his ability to have friends.
And here's where I realize I have a problem...the correct thing for me to do would be to quietly kick his ass but the fact is that adrenaline and testosterone have taken over. My hands are shaking with rage and my insults are starting to become silly and nonsensical. I no longer have the steady nerves required to do the right thing...
So I hurled a last volley of expletive laden hysteria and quit. My hands are still shaking and my ePeen is shriveled and withdrawn.
So, please forgive me for being unable to defend myself and, by proxy, the whole BSN. If any of you on PS4 see this guy, kick his ass and let him know where it comes from. I'm going to sit in the closet and drink cooking sherry until the pain, shame and anger subside.
