I've been playing the Equalizer a lot lately and I must say it's extremely good (probably OP) if you're a class that goes up close. With my Avenger and Eq5 on silver, you can shoot through a shield and a hp-bar on one single charge. Good thing is it also recharges during Avenger Strike so you never find yourself OOA. Range longer than 10-15m it sucks, but up close I can't really find a Pistol that's better, given the fact that it doesn't use ammo. It's the only weapon I use, rendering me very light as well (hardly any CD on Strike)
Took a while to get use to dropping ADS completely since you don't need it with this setup (not really needed at all in MEAMP), but once used to it you'll be unstoppable with this Pistol.
Gonna be interesting to see how it performs at X, together with X:ed mods.

I am pretty sure I have the Equilizer. If it's the pistol energy gun, I wasn't impressed with it. It hits like a wet noodle on my infiltrator. I prefer something with more punch.

I like the equaliser, especially because it doesn't suffer as much from evade cancelling the reload animation on weapons that use thermal clips - where you end up trying to reload several times due to not giving that fraction of a second to let the animation complete before hitting evade or sprint... And I love the low cooldown on powers together with not worrying about ammo boxes. It works great on the human adept. |

I guess I prefer the more pop off a headshot and go back into cloak kind of play. Can't play biotic characters to save my life.

Anyway congrats Infiltrators and vanguards are silver ready from day one, provided they are at X, and by level 10 you can do gold pretty OK, provided you have a decent weapon. Doesn't hurt they both get melee bonuses and first piece of good gear is almost double melee damage. |

Yes. I have it at X and it is pretty good. Similar to the PPR.
I suggest maxing out the ammo magazine and using the pistol barrel.
Ammo mods as preferred. Have fun.
