Sara a better Pathfinder then Scott (slight spoilers)

When did pathfinding become about archaeology?  Guess I missed that part.  Both were trained to be on the pathfinder team.  Either works well enough.  Neither was an optimal choice but succeeded in spite of it.  If Scott completes the mission, then it makes your assertion wrong.  It doesn't mean he's better but also doesn't mean he's worse.  However, given Scott's love of adventure, something pretty important to, you know, adventuring...well, he doesn't seem so bad.

My impression was that she was on the alliance security detail watching over the archaeologists, and not that she is a scientist herself.
Wiki states her duty as 'support role'.

So I don't see how watching people dig out alien artefacts is a better preparation than watching ships fly through one.

Depends on the support. If support means the archaeology than she's manning the sifters, or it could mean standing guard with a gun. I don't think it really matters. It's not their training or preparation that makes either one of them a Pathfinder which is why who's better prepared is redundant.

(Defaults) Sara (Patch1.09) is now so much better/awesome than Scott because she's hotter & cuter than he is.

Besides, everything here is a matter of opinion.  Personally, the Asian Saras are better looking to me than default Sara, but that's me.

But It dosen't matter! Default polish (patch 1.09) Sara Ryder looking better/awesome  then default (boring looking) Scott Ryder!
And Sara Ryder's (Prothean) Background Story is so much better/gorgeous!
So, Sara is definitely a better Pathfinder then Scott!

Kind of agree.  Sara's face model is REALLY sexy.  I found her Twitter page through Scott's face model's Twitter page.  Hard to believe they translated her so poorly into the game.  Scott, like most, does look a little plastic but is fairly faithful to his face model.

You can say his face is boring, if you like, but it's pretty faithful to his face model.  Same can't be said of Sara.  That was my point.  Let's do a comparison.  Actually, found someone else made the comparison already so I'm posting it under spoiler tags.  I'm not trying to knock Sara.  I just felt they actually did her a disservice.  Tbh, in the game, Scott even looks closer in appearance to his face model than he does here.  When I look at Steven Brewis I see Scott.  I don't feel like I'm seeing Sara when I look at Jayde Rossi.

Well, conventinal safety wisdom generally holds that in a potentially life threatening situation self preservation takes presidence.

Furthermore, Alec could not know whether his actions would succesfully keep his son/daugther alive, ultimately one could argue his plan backfired as because of his actions his son/daugther has been permanently robbed of their humanity.

Lastly, Alec's goals as pathfinder was to find a habitable planet for Humanity after their golden world turned out to be a bust, one could reasonably argue that his obligation to the initative and it's partcipants is greater than that to any one individual.
