Nice vid. I gotta add to this because barricade to most players is an overlooked skill. I did the opposite since combat mastery registers barricade use or damage output. On my barricade skill tree, beginning from rank 4 I chose duration>weapon buff>electric defense. Got up to fourth skill tree on throw and 2 skill levels for energy drain. Electric defense is where the fun begins and you realize how powerful it is! Aside from the points mentioned, barricade can also be used as a choke point to deny enemies entry into an area. Also, with electric defense, it discharges 100 damage, stuns, AND primes targets for combos all in a 360 degree. So, with sentinel already having a biotic and tech, you can detonate the enemies. It is a really powerful skill. In fact it practically stops all enemies non-armoured enemies in their tracks. Example: I've ran up to a group of enemies, dropped barricade and all of them are now stunned and primed. Despite my back being exposed, the dog enemies will lunge at me sure, but once they enter my perimeter, they too become stunned and no longer attack me. I've just sat there in my barricade, watching the enemies get shocked. Really, it stops them. Instead of becoming a defense, you become active in offense as well. At least I was. Also, once you unlock a buff that benefits your teammates and yourself, you will begin to earn support points which eventually becomes a medal. If you're an offensive aggressor like I am, these points quickly stack up not to mention the combo points you earn from priming and teammates or yourself detonating AND the damage output from the detonations. It's a REALLY powerful skill. With the stun effect, I won't be surprised if it gets nerfed. Yeah, I don't deny this. It is just my build is much more of a run and gun build so I will look into this later.

This is my only criticism of the build.
Instead of investing into recharge speed on rank 5 for throw, I believe that you should of put those points into duration. Because of two things: It primes targets for biotic explosions, and with your current build, throw has a noticeably faster cooldown than energy drain. Although this doesn't hurt you, it doesn't help you either, as you need to cast energy drain first because it is your only primer.
If you put those points into duration instead of recharge speed, the cool down speeds would have more symmetry, and you could cause biotic explosions(on unshielded, unarmored targets) as well. Throw would also cause targets to gracefully levitate in the air as they're thrown back. Giving you a bit more mob control.

I played a half dozen Gold matches this afternoon as Human Sentinel with Charger X, and it was cake.
This is a really powerful kit. You can even take Rank 4b Melee in Tech Armor and wear a Juggernaut Shield for fun and utility. I'm currently running 6/3/6/6/5, with all of the Weapon Damage/Accuracy/Stability Evos (top row). If I want a Powers-oriented Sentinel I play the Asari.
Energy Drain Rank 5a allows it to be both a Primer and a Detonator, and it can do these both in one cast (unlike in ME3, where Powers would only be able to do one or the other even if they were capable of doing both).
For example, shoot the Hydra with Incendiary Ammo, then Energy Drain to Detonate a Fire Explosion, and also Prime for a Tech Burst, which you can then detonate with Throw.
BUG: If Energy Drain Detonates a Biotic Explosion, it will not Prime for a Tech Burst. This only works if it Detonates a Tech.

Reasons being, 1- You can Energy Drain > Throw for a Tech Burst, then shoot Incendiary/Cryo Ammo > Throw for a Fire/Cryo Explosion, then when Energy Drain comes back off CD Throw is ready again too. And 2- Throw only tosses unshielded, unarmored targets, and by that point, your previous combos will either have killed them, or just about killed them. And what are you going to use to detonate? Rather just do a running jumping melee as a finisher, if they are still alive after the Throw. Or shoot your gun, that works too.

This is also true, but people don't necessarily always have ammo mods on hand. Also tech powers can detonate biotic primers now, so he would have energy drain to detonate throw.

This is also true, but people don't necessarily always have ammo mods on hand. Also tech powers can detonate biotic primers now, so he would have energy drain to detonate throw. To that I would say that Tech Bursts are just way too good to not use as often as possible. Suppose you run up on a Shielded enemy, and/or a group of enemies. You Energy Drain the Shielded enemy (draining Shields), detonate with Throw (Tech Burst, eliminates the rest of the Shields), and it ALSO staggers all of the enemies in an AoE around the primary target, and (this is the best part), it leaves an electrical effect on the ground that lingers for several seconds. Enemies who walk into this area become stunned. And then you shoot your Incendiary/Cryo Ammo at all the stunned, unshielded enemies, and then detonate that with another Throw on a fast CD. Combine all of that with several weapons damage and accuracy passives, Tech Armor for Damage Reduction, and even Melee support if you so desire, and this is IMO the most effective way to play this character. Gold is easy mode with just a Charger X. If you don't have Incendiary/Cryo Ammo handy, play the Human Vanguard in the meantime. That's a great kit with simple 1-2-3 Power Combo progression and powerful Melee when the Powers are on CD. Be sure to take the Nova Evolution that Primes for a Biotic Explosion.

BUG: If Energy Drain Detonates a Biotic Explosion, it will not Prime for a Tech Burst. This only works if it Detonates a Tech. Strange, I ran around with an Assdept teammate yesterday and my ED would detonate her Annihilation and a follow up Throw would detonate the tech burst.

I've even done a few Cryo Explosions last night where the text at the top informed me that there was a Cryo Explosion, but nothing happened onscreen. I'll have to make a conscious effort to pay closer attention to the killfeed, but even that sometimes doesn't tell you when a combo happened.

Yesterday i tried the Human Sentinel, but i was focusing around barricade and guns instead of using it as a caster.
I maxed out barricade, taking max duration and the evo at rank 6 that primes enemies for tech combos. I must say duration evo is a must for barricade. Throw and passives for max recharge. With fitness xax damage reduction. Im only at level 12 atm. Maxed barricade first, then passives, now i'm trying to max fitness for max durability, then throw. Energy drain i will leave at 1 point only. I'll try to spec throw for fastest cooldown and biggest force. Not certain if i take double throw for double tech explosions. Or what if i take energy drain to max and only one points to throw? Or both at 4-4? I have yet to play around to find best settings. But already at only one point in both i feel really strong with this build.
I don't want to tell it is more efficient compared to the "Stardusk way" with leveling up energy drain and throw to max. I just have to say it was a lot of fun. It is a really strong kit on gold if played right. I can literally barricade myself in the middle of the god damn battlefield anywhere every time i want to. Doesn't matter if theres no cover, because i'm creating the cover with barricade. It also boosts my power or weapon damage, it helps me recharge shields faster etc etc. I lost my shields? Barricade and it helps recharging it fast. Enemies closing on me? Barricade. I have to disable devices and i'm surrounded with lots of enemies? Barricade. Teammate is disabling a device? Barricade to help protect him/her. In one game i was literally holding on my own an upload objective against the whole enemy team with 2 gold berserkers and a hydra literally standing in front of my nose. Enemies also must go around the barricade. So if placed right, i can keep them outside my barricade and constantly primed for tech detonations. Even if they dont do that much damage as in ME3 stunning the enemies all the time is really helpful.
I must say before i tried i was quite certain i will fail with this build. But i was proven wrong and had lots of jiggles while playing with it. I played with snipers, but i imagine this build has a good synergy with many other guns. Hurricane, Scorpion, Talon will certainly work. I haven't tried the charger yet, and don't have the equalizer so can't comment on that. But any decent long range or close range gun will work i think. I'll try out some this week.
