Human Juggernaut - Go For the Eyes with Upload and HackMadawot | 14 August 2018 | 25:23 | Sandstorm | Kent | Platinum | P.A.W. Siphon and P.A.W. Concussive | Upload, Hack, Devices | Xbox | Go For the Eyes Mission Modifier My first Platinum Solo was on Firebase Sandstorm with the Go For the Eyes mission modifier. Months later, this mission came back in the Platinum daily rotation, and I was ready to go for a sub-20 run. Instead, I got a Wave 2 Upload and a Wave 4 Hack, which I was able to complete thanks to the extra 260% weakpoint damage: +200% from mission modifier, +40% from Vulnerability VI, and +20% from APEX Training 5A. With the Assault Rifle Amp IV (+40%) and Disruptor Ammo IV (+10%) boosters, I negated the damage penalty from the mission modifier. I needed all of it to thwart the Ascendants, Wraiths, Anointed, and Fiends from entering my circles! Objectives: Upload / Hack / Devices * Wave 1: 0:01:16* Wave 2 Upload: 0:03:05* Wave 3: 0:07:32* Wave 4 Hack: 0:10:10* Wave 5: 0:15:36* Wave 6 Devices: 0:20:39* Wave 7: 0:24:02Build: thethirdrace.app.goo.gl/QgFs* Snap Freeze: 4B 5B 6A * Fortify: 4A 5A 6B * Shockwave: 1 point * APEX Training: 4A 5A 6A * Remnant Armor: 4A 5B 6A * P.A.W. Human Juggernaut - Go For the Eyes Sub-20Madawot | 14 August 2018 | 19:41 | Sandstorm | Kett | Platinum | P.A.W. Siphon and P.A.W. Concussive | Boss, Boss, Boss | Xbox | Go For the Eyes Mission Modifier I enjoy the Platinum daily missions whenever the Go For the Eyes mission modifier is enabled. Today, on my favorite map against the Kett, I achieved my first sub-20 time in a Platinum Solo. Sure, it was with a very advantageous modifier (+260% weakpoint damage and just -22.5% Assault Rifle damage), but I will take it. Compared with my old solos using the Juggernaut on Sandstorm, I was doing a lot less running away and a lot more standing my ground and tanking. Triple Boss objective was not too bad thanks to the weakpoint damage boost and Snap Freeze. Objectives: Boss / Boss / Boss * Wave 1: 0:01:16* Wave 2 Boss: 0:03:25* Wave 3: 0:05:48* Wave 4 Boss: 0:08:26* Wave 5: 0:11:15* Wave 6 Boss: 0:15:39* Wave 7: 0:18:19Build: thethirdrace.app.goo.gl/ivKY* Snap Freeze: 4B 5B 6A * Fortify: 4A 5A 6B * Shockwave: 1 point * APEX Training: 4A 5A 6A * Remnant Armor: 4A 5B 6A * P.A.W. Siphon II * P.A.W. Concussive V * Vulnerabilty VI * Assault Rifle Amp II * Disruptor Ammo III

And how did you prevent the two Berserkers and Behemoths from entering the circle? Did Lifting Shockwave help that much on Wave6? Thank you! I was lucky to get good locations of both circles - W4 was in the Building 8, and W6 was on the rooftop to the left. W4 was quite easy to complete (more than 1 minute remaining) but W6 was very, very hard - I've completed it with just 14 seconds left. Lifting Shockwave helps a lot, especially when combined with Disruptor Ammo. I usually prime as many targets as possible with Disruptor Ammo and then use Lifting Shockwave - it strips shields with multiple tech detonations and launches unarmored targets into space. Also, these detonations create quite large area with electricity on the ground, which stuns armored targets and gives you time to use Snap Freeze and try to kill them before they can come too close. Berserkers die fast enough, the real problem begins when Behemoth and Ascendant are coming towards the circle at the same time - you can't stop them fast even with Go For The Eyes modifier, Power Efficiency Mod III, P.A.W. X and a perfect location of hack circle - I've used all 5 Cobras, 2 First Aid Packs and 2 Revive Packs to complete Wave 6 Hack.

Lifting Shockwave was very useful on my Shield-Powered Nova Human Vanguard to deal with the Wraiths and orb-less Ascendants on my Wave 2 Hack. In a non-Go For the Eyes mission, its utility is lessened on the Wave 4 and 6 objectives due to the Fiend and Behemoth/Berserkers being unaffected by it. For the Wave 6 Hack, did you have to leave the circle at any point? The speed at which progress goes backwards can be troublesome and stressful, esp. when enemies you want you lure away from the circle don’t leave. Go For the Eyes is about the only way non-stealth, non-pet characters can handle Wave 4 and 6 Hacks and Uploads. And, for me, the only way I think I could get sub-20. Fun night. Congrats again on your achievement!

Congrats again on your achievement! I did have to leave the circle once, against my will - one Berserker threw me off the rooftop when I was stunned by another Berserker's shot. Turian Havoc Trooper can handle at least Wave 4 Hack - I've done it once against Remnant on Derelict. Sovoa (Siphon), Turbocharge and really strong index finger (or simply autoclicker ).

Yes the Turian Havoc Trooper is the best of the non-stealth era for objectives. So much DPS and DR. I am still in awe of Pota Pota’s Wave 6 hack from months ago. You should record your vids next time!
No auto-clicker on my Xbox. My fingers would fall off when using the Sovoa in Turbocharge!

Human sentinel Platinum solo: no N7 weapons, no siphon/concussive.Cerberus Agent does Platinum Solo! He doesn't need fashionable Alliance weapons or alien weapon technologies to demonstrate his powers. It will be enough for him to have good old "M-25 Hornet" and "Talon".
Platform: PC Date: Aug 15. 2018 Map: Firebase Sandstorm; Enemy: Kett 2 / 4 / 6 objective waves: Delivery / Devices / Boss Human sentinel build (6-1-6-6-6) in details: Throw 1 2 3 4a 5b 6b Barricade 1 (even with 1 point and 2 power cells it is useful skill) Energy Drain 1 2 3 4b 5a 6b Weapon Training 1 2 3 4b 5b 6a Tech Armor 1 2 3 4a 5a 6a Weapon 1: "Talon X" with Pistol Short Barrel X and Pistol Targeting System X; Weapon 2: "M-25 Hornet" with Pistol Long Barrel X and Pistol Heavy Magazine X; Boosters: Incendiary Ammo IV and Targeting VI IV Result: Video:
This was my first successful Platinum solo in Mass Effect: Andromeda multiplayer.

Great job and welcome to the Platinum Soloist club!
The Hornet is a very good weapon; too bad the Talon isn't what it was in ME3MP.
Tough position of the first device on W4, but you demonstrated good patience getting to it. You underestimated the Blaze Hydra a bit on Wave 5, which led to those two First Aid Kit uses. I remember doing that a lot in my early solos too. I use to think W5 was harder than W3, but I have since reversed my position. The lone Berserker, Ascendant, and Observers are worse than the Blaze Hydra, Behemoth, and Observers.
Finally, you isolated the Behemoth well from his friends on W6. And good style points with punching the Ascendant at the end of the wave!
What's next for you now?

You should record your vids next time! Well, let's start with this 13:06 Gold Solo. No consumables used. Sound disappeared in the beginning of Wave 3, so this match was a bit harder than usual. Turian Havoc TrooperAB1381 | 18 August 2018 | 13:06 | Zero | Kett | Gold | Sovoa (Siphon) X, Shorty (Siphon) X | Devices, Retrieval | PC Build:Incinerate: 1 point Turbocharge: 4B 5A 6A Flak Cannon: 4B 5B 6B Munitions Training: 4A 5B 6A Aerial Assault: 4B 5A 6A Sovoa (Siphon) X with Short Barrel X and Light Magazine X Shorty (Siphon) X with Short Barrel X and Smart Choke X Assault Loadout Incendiary Ammo IV Universal Power Amp IV Accidentally found out that elemental ammo boosters allow Sovoa to hit weak points. Same works with every weapon that lacks Concussive variant: Falcon, Scorpion, Reegar and even Venom. I tested them all with different ammo boosters on Chosens and Wraiths, and earned "Weak Point Kills" badges easily. I don't know the exact value of headshot modifier but Targeting VI booster and Vulnerability VI equipment definitely increase damage (without ammo booster VIs don't work with these weapons at all).

Will watch this run later but blistering time! Do you think this is the go-to map for speed runs? Magma is the best map for Platinum Solo speedruns. Boss, Devices and Retrieval objectives are definitely easier to do on Magma than on Zero, and it is much easier to survive on Wave 7. However, survival waves on Zero seems to be a bit faster than on Magma, so I would prefer Zero for Gold Solo speedruns. My best time for Gold Solo on Magma is 12:40 and for Zero it is 11:59. Turian Havoc TrooperAB1381 | 21 August 2018 | 11:59 | Zero | Kett | Gold | Sovoa (Siphon) X, Shorty (Siphon) X | Devices, Devices | PC As for Platinum Solos, my best time on Zero is 19:31 (Retrieval, Boss, Boss). Successful Platinum Solos on Magma are 15:59 (Triple Devices), 16:05 (Devices, Retrieval, Boss) and 15:26 (Boss, Boss, Devices). There also was another attempt that could be sub-15 Platinum Solo - I cleared 5 waves in 10 minutes and 2 seconds but then I got Upload on Wave 6. I'm pretty sure I can do sub-15 Platinum Solo on Magma someday.

Could 10 minute be achieved? A team of four Turian Havoc Troopers with Sovoas and Piranhas? I wish I could clear my Platinum solo waves as fast as you can. Would have saved me a lot of frustration on some of my solo attempts in previous months!

I'd say team of two Havocs (1/6/6/6/6 build, Sovoa and Piranha, Disruptor Ammo and Power Efficiency Mod) and two Juggernauts (6/6/1/6/6 build, dual P.A.W.s, Disruptor Ammo and Power Efficiency Mod) would be better. Very tanky team with great DPS (Snap Freeze + Sustained Fire + Turbocharge) and great crowd control (Flak Cannon + Tech Combos + Snap Freeze). Such team probably can handle any objective on any map: Boss is obviously easy, Juggernauts can disable Devices under heavy fire, Retrieval is easy for Havocs, and Hack/Upload can be tanked due to huge DR and DPS of the whole team. Select a small map, keep position near the center (so respawned enemies would come to you faster), and you'll get a super fast run (I think 9:50 could be achieved, if team is lucky enough to get Boss / Boss / Boss).

Sub-10 would be a nice achievement for the community to get. I'll see if I can get a group together to test this out on Xbox. I wonder which map would be the best. I'd imagine Triple Devices could be faster, if the team spreads out to cover most of the device locations on a map (and the enemy doesn't spawn on top of the device).

AB1381 - Good job! The record keeps falling! Shaving off those last 45 seconds and getting a sub-10 is going to be tough and require perfect objectives. If you can anticipate where those last enemies are at the end of Waves 1, 2, 4, and 6, I can see you saving maybe 30 seconds, but 45? Sometimes the enemies are across the map and you spend too much time having to run to get to them. Though things were melting fast enough with your PAWs, would APEX Training 5A with an extra 20% weakpoint damage have helped as opposed to the extra combo detonation damage? As for Platinum, I think a mid 10 minutes is doable. Don’t know if sub-10 is anymore unless it’s Go For the Eyes.

It seems to be nearly impossible to get sub-10 Gold Solo unless every movement is perfect. Same for sub-15 Platinum Solo - I'm starting to hate Wave 5 for being unpredictable and slow. I'm hedonist, so I'd better wait for Go For The Eyes missions than do another hundred of attempts that probably would give me nothing but frustration. Hope non-Solo speedruns would bring more pleasure. Of course, APEX Training 5A would be useful but I simply forgot to change my build after few attempts with Shorty and Piranha - 5B was chosen primarily for weapon accuracy boost.
