I never understood how exchanging player problems on twitter or reddit is way more productive than on a forum. But then I'm one naive Mass Effect scrub^^.

Microsoft does actually have support staff that help from time to time - it's a free forum though, you could buy a support ticket to get better support if you so wanted.

So I'm not really sure it could compared to the EA situation.

I had always planned on waiting a while to see how things played out. Based on what I'm hearing from sources I trust, the game probably has more technical issues than any other BW launch. Considering they axed the site that did their active QA support, and EA is now expecting volunteers to do their support for them, I'm pretty sure I won't be getting it for a few months, at least.

I'm certainly going to wait until they sort out how they're going to handle support, because we aren't equipped to handle it for them (nor are we being paid.)
