I have a Hurricane V and I'm afraid it's going to keep me from using other guns.... disrupt or ammo primes with its high ROF and two powers set off combos. Melt and explode all the things.

The Venom suffers from the same mechanics that make all the charged weapons terrible in this game.
Everything interrupts the charge, everything interrupts the reload animation (and with reload cancelling gone, its annoying AF)

Correct. Much more accurate with zero recoil. They are excellent at balancing.
