curious to know what the rate of tier items are when it comes to platinum. I'm aware you get two gold items but do you also get an uncommon item as well or just 2 gold and 3 blues? Also, with the chance of an ultra-rare, do you get 2 golds and an ultra-rare (3 high tier drops w/2 blue items) or one gold and on ultra-rare? (2 high tier drops w/3 blue items)

The best premium I got was Krogan Firegod, Turian Jetpackasaurus and Ghetto avenger; which would be two rares and a UR in one pack. I've also gotten uncommon weapon mods, so it's obviously picking from the available pool.
That said I don't think it will guarantee an UR if say, all your rares were maxed, which is why they say chance on the flavor text.
Might wanna get clarification from Bastiaan on twitter for that.

I'm aware there's a chance for UR even if gold is maxed. Just debating whether to now focus on premium case or gold. As long as I get 2 gold and possibly an uncommon, i figure it's better than purchasing a gold case just to get one gold and 4 blues |

That would be correct. There's really no point to getting a gold pack at all.
