I have played on the Gamescom with the Playstation VR and it was an amazing experience to play. Now the devilopers are the ones who have the will and the know-how to use this cool piece of hardware. What we now devilopers are very overwhelmed with new technology. They don't unterstood the WiiMote, Balance Board, WiiU Pad and other things from Nintendo.
For Mass Effect Andromeda I would prefer if it would be optional to use PS VR. What are you thinking? VR for MEA, yay or no?

It's a third person game, so no. If Mass Effect would go VR, it would be in a few years (when VR has a big market share) or with a spin-off title (more like a gimmick).

However, at the moment, I prefer AR myself. AR can project the scene on the wall in front of you... a much bigger screen.
EA, btw, has a VR lab. Game companies would be foolish not to explore this tech, if for no other reason that to stay competitive.

The game companies hasn'ot any ideas to use the little gifts from Nintendo. I am afraid that the VR goes the same way as the WiiU Pad and the Balance Board.

In a way, though, it's more like an extension of the Wii remote. Can Mass Effect make use of VR? Why not. Even if still in third-person, the googles would replace the need to use the controller to orientate the camera. Plus, inventory could then be seen by the Omni-tool, which would be pretty cool. |

I think we're still a generation or two away before we'll see consoles powerful enough to play games of this level in VR. And while they are learning how to optimize games for VR, it's still hugely demanding on the GPU.
