Okay everyone I'd like to see everyone classes in action. Just pop a video in this thread. I have to say I was a bit skeptical about the difficulty being too easy, but Andromeda actually brought back the feel of being a vanguard in ME2. I have to be quick on my toes and can't just randomly charge into a group of enemies, or I will die. Plus they fixed the Nova issue of being over powered. You actually take damage during the animations. Anyway here is my Vanguard build: charge, nova and annihilation. The game is on hardcore and I'm only at level 15 so far.

Wow... Vanguard with Annihilation. You are taking a pretty huge penalty on Charge cooldown. On insanity, I'd say ME:A is about as tough as ME2 playing as a Vanguard but I think in the end, ME:A should be slightly easier because of ME:A allows a lot of gear customization.

Because of charge 35% cool down rate, plus my level 2 vanguard profile is offering another 15% cool down rate. my charge cool down is around 6 seconds with annihilation active, which is not that bad. Also factoring in the cool down rate I get from offensive biotic passive skill. I barely notice the cool down speed with charge or nova.

Insanity Vanguard drill run in Katt Outpost. I have cleared this outpost couple days ago but I find this to be a very nice place to experiment with all things combat related. That and I kinda like to buwee the Katt the good old Shepard way

Kallo was shouting at me when I simply walked on it... driving the Nomad up there must give him a heart attack Yes, yes I did I took a screenshot also bsn.boards.net/post/462620/threadI also tried to do a loop in one of the circle construction things but that turned out less well And I parked on top of either promise or resilience I cant remember which For science ofc No one seemed to mind though, although I can imagine Kallo and Suvi going red in the face But they strangely seemed cool, they didnt say anything, it was like they thought "you know what would be a good morale boost for the initiative??? Taking a picture of a tank on top of the ship. Carry on Ryder"

Fun videos, guys! I started my first Insanity run now with a NG+, Sentinel with Overload, Cryo Beam, Throw and a crappy LvIV Mattock. But I rarely shoot anyway because I'm not good at it Just been to Eos today and threw together a quick video. I'd be interested in seeing other classes in action too! Hope more people post in here.

Plus they fixed the Nova issue of being over powered. Nova is garbage now honestly, and not because you take damage during the cast but because they nerfed novas raw damage in evolutions and it's not a detonator anymore.

This is me and my overpowered sentguard build (Sentinel + vanguard)
I had the wrong set of powers in the first few seconds. So I had to switch quickly to the one with biotic charge, AField and Energy Drain. I don't think I've seen anyone use this kind of build that I did in the video. But it's sooooooo freakin good and I'm proud of it.
The only thing I would've changed is using bio-converter aug on my piranha so I wouldn't have had to reload as much.

Nova is garbage now honestly, and not because you take damage during the cast but because they nerfed novas raw damage in evolutions and it's not a detonator anymore. I had an issue with it not being a detonator, but after a little experimentation and it's final evolution when it becomes a primer, it works really well with charge. instead of the classic charge+nova combo you have to switch it around. the last evolution of nova actually sends the enemy flying really high in the air and you can charge right at them creating a biotic combo. it's pretty fun.

Small clip of how Nova and Charge is suppose to work now, because of nova being a primer now instead of a detonator. They still work pretty well together I think. Note: Game is on hardcore difficulty.

Please note: This is on Normal difficulty, as I always go through a game the first time on the "base" difficulty until I get the game's mechanics down. After that, or after my first playthrough (for consistency's sake) I bump up the challenge.
Sentinel build, Sandstorm/Hornet/Sidewinder, with Incinerate/Energy Drain/Throw as powers. Very nice combination of weapons and skills, in my opinion.

I might record my engineer profile build later. It doesn't have all tech skills because mine has at least 1 biotic power, which is backlash.
It's honestly was my main build before I discovered the sentinel build that I made in the previous post.

This is my engineer build.
I like the idea I had behind it which was, using backlash and using it to close gaps and have enemies get stunned by the combat drone.

I'm definitely gonna have to try that. I tend to be a cover player but I see now how the right build can allow you to play more open. I did my last insanity run with an Engineer profile using concussion shot, overload, and incinerate. Use those in reverse order to chain combos. Very effective for an insanity run. Right now I'm experimenting a bit...running with the Explorer profile using pull, overload, and concussive shot (I like being able to deal with different enemy layer defenses)...plus the blink evade bonus skill that comes with Explorer is a lifesaver...and just an all around cool animation. I tried a pure Adept with various combinations and repeatedly got wrecked. I haven't figured out how to deal with shielded enemies using that class.

Note: Game is on hardcore difficulty. When enemies have only health layer they are very weak, and it's very easy to kill them with anything. When it come to strongef enemies nova is useless, but it wasn't in ME3.

In ME3, Nova is OP and that is because it allows players who cant play Vanguard in ME2 a chance to play it - and there is no need for Nova, personally I dont use it in ME3. Think of it as a panic button. Against so called stronger enemies, Nova works just as well as other Offensive Biotic skills. They melt away just fine (It primes and allows your team mate to detonate them). Heck, even against the Architect it is useful in clearing adds. I remember the days when the entire ME2 Bioware forum is flooded with post like "Biotic Charge" is useless in Insanity. There are no such things as useless skills, only useless players

I'm not saying nova is useless, I'm saying it's sub optimal, I can see you are a good player, you can fck enemies up with anything, but if we are talking efficiency I think you could do better if you swapped nova for something more useful. Nice videos btw.
