Yes most people faced a learning curve, new maps, new locations, new combat dynamics, sucky weapons.

Yes most people faced a learning curve, new maps, new locations, new combat dynamics, sucky weapons. Yea, I figured that much. It is a lot different, in a few ways, than old ME3MP. I'm not new to MP or ME, so I was just wondering what the deal was lol. HaHa- I felt like a chicken with its head cut off, just fucking useless. I assume it will get better the more I play. I have only played about 5 or 6 matches, tbh.

I'm squishy atm, but what irks me more is less teamwork and fewer people hitting goals. I've been in a couple failures where people just let the timer go out because they were just shooting enemies and not focusing on the goal (in one instance all they had to do was just stand there and shoot the enemy but they were on the other side of the map for crying out loud). Other issues are when you get downed and someone is right next to you and just ignores you. I try to save my revives but sometimes they don't work. I've tried this three times today where it just wouldn't revive me. I'm like crap! I don't know - maybe some n00bs. Of course this last guy (don't recall ever playing with him before) started shooting at me before the game started and wouldn't revive me but it didn't matter as we all wiped out anyways lol. This MP definitely seems like it would be better to play with a communicating team, rather than with randoms. Hell, what isn't, though? Makes me want to get my old crew together, we were a well-oiled machine. Vibed very well. Yea, I noticed people not bothering with objectives either. I don't know if they are too bogged down to move, or what. I felt like the only one trying to get them done. There's probably a lot of that happening, especially if they are new too and trying to get acclimated to maps and enemies. As for revives, If I can safely revive a squad-mate, I always will. By the same token, if it is going to get me downed too, it is futile to try, and it is better for them to self-res or just come back next round. 1 down is better than 2 down. HaHa- but then there are those assholes that just don't revive, no matter the situations. They can go fuck themselves lol.

Play Sentinel (Asari in particular), or Soldier. (Turian Soldier if you can).
The damage resistance is quite nice, even for gold gameplay.

Devil's Advocate here, the audio cues in MEA are inadequate, sometimes even nonexistent. I've had guys go down right next to me and didn't even know unless they got on the mic and asked me to revive them.

I'll most likely continue to play & build up my human, female soldier first, because I have access to it. She's only level 5, but I think she'll get better lol. Thanks for the tip, though.

Yeah, going for Fitness is the smart move. I did it like this for soldier ; Munitions -> Turbo Charge -> Fitness - but if you are having problems, consider going fitness earlier.

But that´s because my dps is laughable. So much of this. I could live with being a squishy bastard if things would die a little quicker, but the common weapons do so little damage and I've yet to build a reasonable inventory of weapon mods.

The cadet's logic is sound. lol I'll have to get on there & play around some. I've hardly any time in MP, but will play more, for sure, in the future. I'll devote more when I'm further along in SP- who knows how long that'll take lolol. I've been playing since release & haven't made a dent.

[I've been playin' SP since release- today was the first day I really fucked with MP] Yep that usually happens to folks who played the previous game at 30, and basically were never hit by bullets ever. Enemies can now actually do more than yell at you or sync kill you. That said once max prestige is a thing, the meta will probably be rather close to 3mp with some caveats.

Vanguard with Nova Bastion Charge Stack recharge speed passives 100% recharge rate with weapons About as tanky as you're going to get.
Oh, and don't forget the barrier-restore-from-successful-melee-hits passive.

I wish folks that used microphones would enable push to talk. Please for the love of all that is holy, i don't want 7+ minutes you working out one with grunts and key clacks, and/or feedback from the game itself.
Sadly, it seems that folks that use the microphones are the ones who shouldn't here from experience. They either lambast the team, doing absolutely nothing all the while, and mute refuses to work in menu on them. (often common) Or you get the above when they join in game.
As to the topic at hand, its rough at first going into the mp especially from the sp, and sadly, feels so different trying the sp from mp. The best thing i can offer is find what class you like, the guns will happen (in time), but playing a fun class will make the journey start off so much nicer for you. As for the factions, the kett hit much harder than the other two, despite how accurate the remnant are, and power heavy the outlaw can be.
The other, is really, find a dodge key that works for you. Your dodge is stupidly vital at times. And there are some good tricks and tactics that let you get the heck out of dodge with it. Another is to get used to the cover mechanics, which sp sorta helps with, but you can blind-fire and stick to cover, which for some classes can give you a massive defense boost to both health and shield with dr. (The human soldier for example, gets a free fortification effect at rank 5 for a power, plus a 50% if you get low health.) Combo'd together, you can take a good bit of hits if you can stick to cover. In the same vein, you can sink in about the same with the turian by staying still and in the same vein. Or it can let you do the cover dance, which shaves off a ton of time to shield recharge. (A notable 3-4+ seconds outside cover at times.)
If you play more power classes like the engineer, or adept, see about if you prefer the combo damage, or recharge. Personally I like going full recharge because of the independent timers means you can power spam as damage, with the status effects and gunplay as needed for filler. with the sp you have a good idea about all the powers, and they translate pretty much directly over for what they do.
About the only thing thats rough getting used to is the event waves. I still see folks that wont try to push objectives, and it hurts when i have to play keep away from a kett ascendant thats guarding the last point and wont leave and i have to do so solo.
But keep at it, and it will happen.

If you actually put points into fitness some of the classes become very tanky even on gold. Any class that has barriers, any krogan, any Angara and the human infiltrators all become really survivable if you put 6 ranks in fitness, the rank 5 and 6 evolutions are pretty op in some of the fitness trees, like saving barrier and bioelectric ward.

Yes, this is very true, asari and a few human classes fall under the passive refresh with fitness. They get shields fixed every 10s usually if they drop, or have options to drain shields for asari melee. Krogran and soldiers fall into the active damage mitigations like regen, or straight damage mitgation in the 25-75% range. While for krogan its a health regen. And enemy krogan for outlaws do have this too. That's what the scream is when they hit 25%. So you need to make sure they go down, or its back to full health with them.

I've been trying to tell everyone that with Andromeda, it really pays to always be moving. More so than ME3 mp. The enemies are really stupid. They are programmed to surround you if you're motionless. Don't focus on fully taking down an enemy. Punch him with bullets and powers like a punching bag, and if you feel like your shields are going down, run away and recover. The enemy will likely not follow you. The AI is very stupid in Andromeda. Squishy is the opposite of how I feel because it's pretty easy to escape enemies and recover health. The jet packs and dumb AI is the key. Also, there are no sneaky Phantoms or Geth Hunters hunting you down with extreme prejudice. Always move and do not move in a pattern. Randomize your movement routes. Constant movement > soft/hard cover and strong guns in Andromeda. "Luke, use the jet pack..."

OP, practice hard with evasion move. Fight from cover. Move from cover to cover. Keep your situational awareness at high level to minimize being snuck up on, and crossfire. As with me3mp shields and health go quickly..
Also, I have been investing a lot in fitness for each character with emphasis towards melee and damage resistance, which helps a bunch.
With weapons try tap firing more, and less full-auto, for greater accuracy and taking down enemies faster (and headshots as always).
Overall, just practice like a mofo, and when you are down, watch other players to see what they're doing and learn from them.

We can't forget the weird hit detection issues, connection being run by rynchol filled pyjacks, sync kills threw solid surfaces. Combine that with the inherent squishyness and moving around the field means nothing, especially when that good ol rubber banding and vanguard glitches kick in.

I've been focusing mostly on SP, so have devoted very little time to MP, but plan to play quite a bit eventually. I played a match or two today, though, and felt less squishy, as I had leveled up a couple times, and distributed some points. I figured that was how it would be. Now that I think of it, I felt squishy in ME3MP at first, too. Thanks for the advice, though.
